I think people are under estimating how hard it is to turn a sinking ship around that you manage compared to being a new voice.

As much as we can discuss what is best, the big question is if the players still want him to manage. The last two performances suggest they are a little checked out or aren’t really taking in his instructions.

We live in a bit of a bubble, this does happen to most teams just pick any and they have the same issues. Villa our likely rivals missed Tielemans, Kamara, Mcginn, Onana for long parts. Everton have had injuries too and afcon.

I get that but at the start of the season we were happy with the team. All of the players look to have dropped 2 levels in their performance. Bruno aside. that best midfield in the world is still here and it’s been bang average all season.

Selling Wissa for 20m is as bad as buying him for 55m. Buying at absolute peak and selling at the bottom is a ridiculous strategy. Unless he is an absolute dud we must be able to get something from him next season.

Can we just have fun with this game, try something new. I can’t be arsed watching a 31 year old Murphy anymore it’s time to start thinking about next season. Give Wolte, Elanga and Wissa a start, let’s see if they can earn a place in the squad next year.

I think the style of football translating to Europe could be an issue but tactically he is better than Howe, whereas Howe has a superior attention to detail. His football is really exciting too
