Had the telly open on the background and some La Liga show randomly did Top10 Albert Luque goals. Absolutely ridiculous goals, what a player he looked like and seemed to have everything. Pace, power, skills and Robert-esque left foot. Such a shame the early injury ruined him here, would have been class seeing him at his best in the PL.

It’s just fucking stupid. Everyone hates it when players go down easily but the refs don’t really give them a chance when Dean and the fucking VAR somehow miss that due to Neves not going down instantly.
-
Look at the shin pad, there's clear contact. That just shows you can't get a freekick without going down so basically encourages diving.
-
Been the same all game, Empoli thoroughly deserve the 3 points.
-
Chelsea defended really well.

It’s not red if you try to play the ball no matter how clumsily but still red if you just pull someone down from arm for example.
-
Red makes no sense when it hits his leg first and is completely incidental.
-
Roma-Fiorentina was good, both Abraham and Shomurodov looked really good.
-
Abraham had a strong debut, two assists and hit the bar.

Armstrong with a classy finish, should do wonders to his confidence.

I'll be doing 5 teams for this, hope it goes better than the Euro 2020. Anyone even slightly interested should take part in Fanteam's fantasy. £1m guaranteed prize pool, £20 entry for one team. Most likely it will end up way short of the 50000 teams so it will be great value again.

I don't think transfers should be talked about like this when every transfer can't be broken down like that. 99% of Man U fans are not thinking about the £14.6m they are paying Dortmund for the next 5 years when they are crying about not enough money being spent.

We have Lewis at LB too, think we give up on an expensive LB after one season?
-
Schick has to be in there IMO.
-
The way Jorginho went to the challenge meant he knew what he was doing, there's absolutely nothing to be gained by stepping on the ball there except an excuse for the very likely stamp that followed.
-
That’s one the many reasons why we always hated Pardew tbh. Not concentrating on your strengths but on your opponent.
-
Absolutely the same, thought I enjoyed CL too but international football is just on another level. Loved Italy and planning to watch some Serie A next season, seems like a really interesting league now.

Posted this in the wrong thread. There’s absolutely no chance of Southgate not being in charge outside of some personal scandal which seems very unlikely. Play Sterling, Foden and Sancho behind Kane in the WC with Bellingham and Rice. Still have tons of talent on the bench like Grealish and Saka to bring on. Concentrate on your strengths and don’t be scared of every opponent and you should be favourites.
-
Yeah, agree. Feel like DCL would have been more bother for Bonucci and Chiellini in the extra time but it’s not exactly easy sub to do with penalties looming. I would have brought in Sancho ahead of Grealish too and a lot earlier.

Southgate has done well overall but he is overly negative considering the squad you have and had no response to Mancini’s changes. Harsh but he’s just another PFM hoping for a bit of magic that can talk well outside WW2.

Unlucky lads but you should be even better in the next WC.
