I'm not calling out anything. Just use your common sense on what kind of info we would leak to the press. No one outside the club knows how high we are willing to go on Maddison or what the budget is this summer.
-
Why would we tell anyone how high we are willing to go, Jesus Christ. 'Here's our opening bid of £40m but we are willing to go as high as £60m. Maybe we could make a deal at £45m?' At times I wonder how some of you can actually survive in the real world.
-
Krul at Spurs didn't really mean much whereas Schmeichel's performance won them the league.
-
Dewsbury-Hall was class last season, no idea what you've been watching.
-
They still have Alonso for a year too.
-
I can see us easily going to £60m, once again we are not going to bid £50m and let the press and everyone else know we are willing to go higher.
-
So absolutely no chance they owe us £8m but £7.5m is possible?
-
Or £0.5m shy of a quarter.
-
Think it's the Ashley effect, we became pretty good at laughing at ourselves.
-
He only owned them for little over a year but did splash the cash so I think it would be fair to include that season on post-takeover era.

Reading at that Leicester forum and every clubs fans seem to be fucking deluded about their team (including some of ours). I do know that they had injuries and focused solely on Europe for a spell but they were 15th on expected points last season and extremely lucky to get the 8th. Reading their forum and you would think you were on Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal forum. 99% absolutely clueless about our team too.
-
Yeah, Thaksin Shinawatra, former PM(?) of Thailand.
-
Both fanbases are obsessed and it's class, I'm not local but find the competition about which side is less obsessed fucking hilarious (even when we clearly win it). We have ~55.000 posts in their threads since March 2016 and they've been completely irrelevant to the footballing world for five of those six seasons.
-
Nah, you were seriously comparing (twice!) Almiron scoring in a friendly to Sesko scoring in a friendly. I'm out.
-
Qualifiers are not Champions League football, get serious. Almiron is 28 years old and everyone knows what he is ffs. 100% irrelevant to this conversation.
-
I know that, I responded to gdm's post about his valuation being based on his performances in the Austrian BL and Champions League when in reality he hasn't done much yet in his career.
-
Yeah, against Bröndby in a qualifier. I don't see how that's relevant to my point.
-
I think we are too late on Sesko anyway. Haaland being such a success from the same club and the 'next Haaland' tag raises his value even more even though it shouldn't have any correlation to Sesko's valuation.
-
Sesko has scored 6 goals in Austrian Bundesliga and 0 in Champions League in his career. When teams are basing their valuation almost entirely on potential, having a good game against Liverpool even in a friendly is a pretty big thing.

I don’t know if it’s the Ashley-era or what but the season starts in a week and there’s always someone suggesting we sell our best winger. Would rather just sign one.
-
Maybe sell Wilson too when we still could get a fee for him. And take the quick £15-20m profit on Bruno while we are at it.
-
I'm still scratching my head with this. He's fucking slow!
-
I wasn't paying full attention but was watching and didn't see him touch the ball once.

This topic is interesting but I have no clue what the argument is about. @Milanista saying that Milan have loads of money while downplaying their budget massively means I'm not sure I get his point. If Milanista's numbers are right they are paying less wages than Leeds which contradicts his original point, no?
