  1. HOOF Should have Toney on the pitch if this is the plan.

    England

That is the worst thing I've ever read.
  3. Yeah, think he'a much more a complementary player than a key cog. £60m and £250k a week though.
  4. You should try sending good songs more often and not just cry that everyone hates you. That one space guy did well recently. My hate is purely for Southgate’s tactics and how people lap it up when the results are there. Can anyone imagine giving praise to Howe (or Ange) for a match where the team tried their first shot of the half when the added time was about to start?
  5. They have oil in their ground, what does ruthlessness have to do with that?

    Copa America

Last 15 minutes felt like two hours.
  7. Agree, if a bobbins club on the verge of relegation was £300m, £600m for the current NUFC feels low. I know it's only Transfermarkt and some German fella in a basement but just our playing squad is valued at roughly ~£600m there.
  8. Mate, you didn't make it out of your group.

    Copa America

    This is hilarious.
  10. Guess it's just their job but I'm certain they did get emotionally attached to the club and city. PCP never had the funds to keep up with PIF and Reuben's but they'll be handsomely rewarded for their role in brokering the deal. I'm not sure what we are valued at right now but it has to have at least doubled since the takeover. At £600m they would walk away with a ~£10m profit, £800m valuation and it's over £20m even with the dilution. This is all speculation but IMO their 10% was just a PR trick to get more acceptable faces to lead the takeover and the first years after it for both the media and the public. They probably would have liked to stay in some role after falling in love but it's impossible if PIF are serious about the new training centre and a new/renovated stadium and the money is most likely meaningful to them after the legal battles. Thanks for everything and no matter what happens in the future, we'll be in a better place than before Staveley first entered the stadium.
  11. How the mighty have fallen.
  12. That Watkins shot was England's first attempt at goal on the second half in a tied match. Not a first shot on target, first shot.
  13. Aye, I'm certain that Kane being down for so long played a role. Dumfries was dumb too, if he rolls around as long as Kane did they would not give it. It shouldn't be like this though.
  14. That’s why it’s so weird that they are usually never given, it’s like some unwritten rule that if the attacker gets the shot away you are allowed to go through him. VAR just shouldn’t interfere there, those are never given so why change the one consistent thing refs do.
  15. Yeah, and you can add Deschamps’ France to that list too. Being solid defensively always gives you a chance to win a tournament, it’s just horrible to watch for neutrals and it’s a shame it has been so effective style of play lately.
  16. That was a much more fair read than I was expecting. Think I have to give some credit for the culture of never giving up that Southgate has created but it could be much easier if he actually had some tactical plan of how to win these games without moments of individual brilliance. He’s just a nicer Pardew to me as harsh as it sounds.
  17. We got knocked out in the qualifiers mate.
  18. That was the problem with it, technically fouls but they are never given when the attacker gets the shot away unless it’s a red card foul like Romero last season. I don’t think anyone in this thread was asking for a pen which tells a lot.
  19. I know, I already decided to leave 45 minutes ago until the final.
  20. Saka chance doesn’t count but neither team created much which xg shows perfectly. You had some good long range efforts but they are not really chances, just individual quality. First half was a much better watch than I expected but second half was really boring, can’t even remember any attacks from you outside the goal and the offside goal by Saka.
  21. Anything can happen but I’m going to be putting some money on Spain based on the early odds. It’s not only the wingers, they also have Olmo and Ruiz in the inside and feel like it’s just too much to handle for this England. The ease of how Spain turned the game around against France, the champions of boring bus parkers was really impressive.
  22. Without the pen that wasn’t a pen, xG was roughly 0.50 vs 0.50 in a match that was tied for the most part. Standards are really low when that performance gets massive praise, both teams represented the big nations in this tournament really well.
  23. Have you watched the most expensive squad in the tournament fumbling through the first five matches? Undeserved bicycle equalizer in the injury time against Slovakia? It’s been terrible regardless of the results, can’t fucking wait to watch some Howe ball after this shite from Deschamps, Southgate, Martinez and co.
  24. You probably deserved to win that but you still had an extremely soft penalty and an injury time winner. First half was good but second was a tough watch, Southgate once again absolutely no ability to react to the game. I’m not going to give him any credit for the subs, taking off Kane for fresh legs and bringing Palmer on are complete no-brainers.
