This is how I see it too. Real Madrid paid £100m for a box-to-box midfielder but played him further up out of necessity. He was really good but England have so many good options further up the pitch compared to midfield that IMO he should play as an 8 for England to make room for either Foden or Palmer.

Surprisingly bright start for Finland, could be a busy night for Odysseas.

Starts for Greece against Finland.

Wow, that was beautiful. Wish Grealish still passed to Gordon.
-
Yeah and Bellingham in the latter stages but you could honestly say no one but Trippier when England was rarely attacking.
-
That was still a good ball from Gordon to Kane after the poor finish attempt.

I'm 9.5 to 10 (in many ways), would be lovely if you could take these with you?

Calm down, cup game was heading to penalties and Isak happens to be our primary penalty taker.

I can do both. Plan is to play but I'm still missing suitable shoes (again) but really no excuse to not get a pair with so much time.

Obviously he must have been extremely hard to work with as a coach both tactically and personally but that shouldn’t really matter if you are given a player who has all that talent. You just build your team around him and make sure he’s happy like Nice did for that one season.

Spurs were in the Champions League final and lost it thanks to a pen that should have never been given. They might not have won anything but no one should be downplaying their achievements, they got to the top by being smart.

This all is just your imagination though. Two high execs sitting with the big boss, I don't know how it would bring back memories of Ashley unless you wanted to see it like that.
-
Also Howe said pre-match that he is looking for much more to come from everyone both technically and physically. Gordon did look exhausted when he sat on the bench, hope I was just an idiot jumping the gun with those sulking and lazy comments right after the match.

Everyone needs a break from their job, both physically and mentally. He didn't play in Germany but you can't exactly call it a holiday, especially mentally.
-
That's also what makes him so special and even unique. I'm not going to blame him when he occasionally loses it. When he gets past that man like he usually does we are in a very good position to attack.
-
No point, just isn't the same on the ball on the left as we all witnessed in the Euros. Moving Tino makes more sense if you absolutely need to start them both.
-
Tino did lose the ball dangerously while dribbling in our box. It's between Burn and Tino IMO, I'm not really blaming Burn for the OG as Pope did so terribly initially and it happened so fast.

He's still Northern Ireland international and was one of their better players in the last qualifiers against Finland. Don't think he gets this move if he was English tbh.
