Aye, the timeline just doesn’t make any sense. The pool of clubs that could potentially sign him is extremely small and he waited until Arsenal and Liverpool had already bought strikers leaving only PSG and Liverpool again. Leaving next summer would make so much more sense. Why go on a strike when he could have just said he wants to progress his career next summer and make the few mega clubs aware he’s available? Obviously he’s badly underpaid but I never thought money would be the main reason he wants to go. Instead I thought he wants one of the prestige clubs so he can play for league titles and CL every season. Still think Barca next summer would make the most sense, Barca have so many players they could sell to fix their finances and get the best possible long-term replacement for Lewa.

10% seems a bit low but must admit I was mostly staying away during those weeks.

Should ask more questions?

If the fans had a say Howe could've easily been sacked in the midst of the best season we've had in over half a century.

You think Guehi and Trafford are 5 years old or what?

10 days since the thread was created and player clearly wanted the move. I'm not complaining about this effort.

Perfectly fine walking away if £30m isn't enough to get a 29 year old.

Think there are some character concerns after the way he has acted after their scudetto two seasons ago. Galatasaray can't complain as it's the only reason they can sign a player of his quality. Character concerns and the huge wage means everyone is looking elsewhere.

The worst shootout in the history of the sport, goodness me.

That - ius ending is quite common in Swedish surnames as well as -der (that I sadly have) along with the most common -sson.

I believe we would be perfectly happy to give Isak a new deal that pays him £200-250k a week, that's not the problem and it's the least he deserves. Problem is he probably doesn't want to sign it without some kind of release clause as he doesn't fully want to commit to us for the rest of his prime years. That would in turn limit the fee we could potentially receive for him in the near future.
