  1. Your day has arrived Punk. Tin helmet at the ready, son. I know, but I just have a good feeling..And if he sinks Fulham, 99 % of the forum will have a lot of explaining to do. I'm probably the only exception What is there to explain? How s*** player scored?

    The striker

Lovenkrands has more experience so never gonna happen.

    Shefki Kuqi

Shefki has been training with Crystal Palace and probably gets a contract somewhere soon. Edit. And I don't mean us, just informing... :colo:

    Erik Pieters

    Or even cold wednesday night...
  5. "Oh boy, I'm in great position...hmmm....Is Kyle totally unmarked on the halfway-line?"

    Joey Barton

I would consider this window to be a massive success if we can bring Maiga and Cissokho in, but equally important for future would be to get Joey and Colo sign new contracts.
  7. I didn't think he even tried to nutmeg, just ran the ball straight to defender.

    Joey Barton

How do you know how gutted Enrique is?
  9. Yeah he's a right footed midfielder not played for months filling in at left back....... Bit harsh. By the same logic if I played on goal against Fulham and tried my best, would I be outstanding too? How can you say we should get rid of Best when we have Lovenkrands in our bench? I would start Best ahead of Shola/Obertan/Lovenkrands for now.
  10. He was crap in a pre-season game played in an ocean, we better kick him out, right?
  11. Signission. :D That's probably the worst spelling error the world has ever witnessed. :colo:
  12. I think Torres looks much sharper than last season and will probably start soon to score again.
  13. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=619380 I'm just lost in words when reading through this thread.
  14. For once we have a decent bench and Pardew doesn't do anything.
  15. Get a grip man..Of course he'll improve the squad..He's amply proven that already. That's why we need the money for Enrique, so we're able to buy a PROPER replacement. Besides, if he wants to sell the club, he'll get much more for it if the squad is full of prospects and is fighting in the upper tier of the table. From this perspective, he got every incentive to plow the money he earns from player sales back into the team. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3222/unledhjc.png So a French international in Cabaye isn't a reinforcement? He's cheaper and better than Nolan..BA is better than Shola, and his stats are impressive. .MA managed to haggle over Nolan, Carroll and Routledge's fees.We got more than they're worth imo. You're so f***ing negative that you refuse to see the positive aspects that actually are happening. We've brought in nearly £40m in transfer fees this calendar year and yet we need to sell Enrique to be able to afford a replacement. f***ing hilarious man. Ma has always said that wages have to be considered as a part of the picture when calculating how much of the £35 mill from Carroll is used. I'm pretty sure that Mav and Cabaye are both on 40 000 a week, minimum. Over five years, that's £20 mill on two players, in salaries only..On top of that we have sign on- (Mav and Ba)agent fees (Mav, Ba and Cabaye) . And you're forgetting that we actually had a £10 mill bid for Gameiro accepted. With the current economical climate in USA and Europe, our current debt situation and turnover vs salary ratio I think MA's conservative spending is a wise approach. I'm pretty sure that we have a replacement for Enrique ready. Everything depends on him. We cannot use £5-6 on Mbenge and paying him £40 a week without selling Enrique first. What if Enrique decides to finish his contract? Then one of them has to be benched. That is a luxury(sportingly and economically) we cannot afford. And it's not a solution neither Enriqe and Mbenge are satisfied with. You say Ba is better than Shola. I think the point is how can you say that we've done well if Shola is still our nr.2? And only income of football clubs isn't transfer fees FFS.
  16. Based on when Carroll left, doing that could bankrupt the club because everyone else will want the same money and we'll have no option but to give them all it without question. Fair comment, I guess I'm trusting that the other players could also see him as glorious captain and a great human being. Who knows if he even wants to stay?
  17. There's no excuse if we don't offer Colo a competitive new contract if he performs the same way as this season. And by competitive I mean no reduced wage. We'll be getting rid of lots of deadwood next summer. He's our captain and most important player with Tiote. He's never injured and can IMO play on high level to mid-30s. And with the history we have on CBs I'm almost sure we would struggle next 5 years on defence if Colo leaves.
  18. The moment we lose Colo because of this is already breaking my heart.
