It’s very close but don’t think he crossed the line with the shirt pulling or the arm lock and don’t think VAR overturns anything the onfield ref decided if it was in use. Ballard seems like a player, love his physicality and pace.

They should have changed it when VAR arrived. Would’ve been impossible for the linesmen without VAR but would make it a lot clearer now with VAR. You only have to look at the grainy images they used at Anfield and IMO it’s impossible to tell where the hand starts from the shoulder. Much easier if they were only looking at the feet of both defenders and attackers. Good posts from Cf, I’ve been saying the same for ages. ’Clear and obvious’ just unnecessarily muddles the water and the ref on the pitch should be allowed to make the decision after few replays from the screen.
  3. Kamara ended up as a bargain but must be getting close to 10x his Marseille wage at Villa. He earns significantly more than Brazilian international Bruno did with his initial contract after the big money move from the same league. There are bargains to be had in the free transfers but they are not free of risk. If Kamara had flopped there’s no way Villa could move him anywhere with the reported £150k per week wages. We’ve seen how hard it is to even give away players that earn way more than they should.
  4. Tielemans labeled as a free transfer just isn’t right. Apparently he over quadrupled his wages, doubt that happens if it wasn’t ’free’ especially after the season he had at relegated Leicester.
  5. Does it more naturally and confidently and often just grabs the ball. Longstaff must be the worst ever at it, would be happy to never see him do it again.
  6. Emil Krafth in Anfield while moving Tino to his wrong side?
  7. Thought he was alright, Salah will always get past his marker few times a game.
  8. Probably the worst post I've read in here in almost two decades, fucking hell.
  9. Yeah, both him and Iraola are doing good. People were just way too quick to criticize Iraola after just few games.
  10. Bournemouth should have…, wait no.

    Fabian Schär

Think it's very close, Bruno has a bit better passing but Schär shoots a lot better and has the element of surprise. Personally I wouldn't blame him when we concede after his runs forward unless he stupidly loses the ball on the halfway line, someone simply has to cover his position.
  12. It can happen but bookies give it like a 15% chance despite the table.
  13. They are not the same team anymore and have a real manager who suits them well. They have deserved most of their wins and been really unlucky in some losses, like the 0-3 to Man United and some in the early season when they were struggling to score goals. This team fights for 7-10 spots in the league without the deduction IMO and would be more comparable to the West Ham team of the past few years than the Everton of the past few years.
  14. They lost to Spurs away and Man City home ffs.
  15. Alright, they would be sitting at 26 points at halfway point without the deduction, hardly shite IMO.
  16. That angle never showed the net you smelly prick. Ball is 100% not hitting the net as it has travelled more upwards than towards the goal after Ake shoots it like that sufficient photo I made clearly shows.
  17. Most teams would be with a 10 point deduction, doesn’t mean they are shite.
  18. Do better ffs. Shows that he skied it which is enough.
  19. They are seventh in expected points without the deduction, ahead of Spurs, Brighton, Man U and West Ham. Hardly shite IMO considering where they’ve been for the past few seasons.
  20. This shot is never hitting the goal but guess hitting the hand is more important in modern football.
  21. One replay shows that the kick was heading to the crowd. Incredibly harsh decision IMO.
  22. That's never a pen and it took him like five seconds to give it after being surrounded. The ball was heading for a goalkick ffs.
  23. Not shit but personally thought he wasn't good enough for us anymore. I didn't want a player to compete with Miggy, I wanted someone who drops him to the bench. Obviously in hindsight having him in the squad would have been brilliant.
  24. The money they can pump to a single football club (even without FFP) is absolute peanuts compared to everything else they do. The cost of a WC bid or creating their own super league out of nothing by signing the best players around the world is so much more expensive. My point is them buying us and not investing the relatively small sums even a new stadium and/or training complex takes would be really weird considering investing on the players is so heavily restricted by FFP. It shouldn't take much to make us worth 3-4 billion and they have a massive profit on the books.
  25. Everton are proper good. Dyche is brilliant at what he does and this is a better squad than he had at Burnley, interesting to see how far he can take them.
