I don't have problems celebrating goals. The ball is in the net, it's infinitely more likely to result in a goal than when it's not in the net. Even celebrated the Gordon goal against Arsenal while acknowledging replays will be interesting.
  2. That first touch and finish is absolutely ridiculous by Akturkoglu.
  3. Fantastic. He basically did a 100 yard (measured it in Finnish broadcast) sprint to press alone and nick the ball from one of the best RBs in the world to set up the first Isak chance. Also some lovely work keeping possession and winning freekicks under pressure in the first half a la prime Jonas.
  4. Think he has shown some nice growth in these CL away matches. Milan was a bad performance, Dortmund better and this first half against the toughest opponent was really good and we were able to keep possession nicely. Second half we really needed some fresh legs for the last 35 minutes but it's a shame we didn't really have them available. Bringing on Hall (and even Dummett for the dying minutes) could've been alright but it's not exactly easy to tell who he should've replaced as Tino and Tripps were always playing the full 90 and Miley didn't look that tired. Maybe for Isak and hope Gordon has something left up top. Would've taken these results in the group 10 times out of 10 before KO today but that disgusting decision really leaves a sour taste and it's easy to forget a point is really good and PSG deserved something out of that for all that xG before the penalty.

Return to form after some iffy moments against Chelsea. Although this game really suited him in the second half, think he's our best CB in a low block like that but he was really good in the first half too.

    Lewis Miley

He was fine (or even good considering his age) but some of the praise seems a bit over the top. He was one of the worst for just giving the ball back to PSG. To be fair he often didn't really have options due to lack of movement and even our best players were guilty of that but he didn't look that confident in possession during the second half. He did fine all things considered but it's a long road even just to displace Longstaff in this squad but he has age on his side.

It’s not really VAR that’s the problem, it’s the monkeys watching the screens.

That’s supposed to be one of the best refs in the world too. This sport is a fucking farce.

Just fuck off, hand rule that no fucker in the world understands is honestly ruining this sport.

    Tino Livramento

I knew he was great going forward, wasn't expecting this defensively. Like a prime Maldini ffs.

Sin bin without a clock that gets stopped is potentially adding a ton of timewasting.
  12. Yeah, they are just bad at their jobs and the clear and obvious shite just muddles the water.

    Match Atmosphere

I don't have kids but seems a bit pointless to attend with a kid that young. He's too young to remember anything about it and the occasional () noise can probably be scary to him. You would also potentially ruin your own experience that most likely doesn't happen that often due to your location.

Freekicks could potentially be a slippery slope if done wrong but second yellows are massive decisions and it always takes at least a minute before the game restarts. Same for corners, usually takes 30 seconds for the ball to be back in play as CBs jog to the penalty area. More than enough time to correct obvious mistakes that happen all the time. Your examples in the following post were quite rare occurrences that were hard to tell even from video.

That would be good in the long run but they should fix the current fundamental problems first.
  16. Cry me a river. You clearly have a squad that can handle those injuries just like janpawel said. You can replace those players with decent (and mostly expensive) options like Digne, Carlos, Torres, Tielemans, Bailey, Diaby, Zaniolo etc. You can mention injuries once you are down to 10-12 senior outfield players available.
  17. Come on Yorkie, you know by now that clear and obvious has nothing to do with offside decisions.

    Match Atmosphere

Two thirds of the stadium is season tickets, feels a bit weird that the dialogue around atmosphere always only concentrates on the ballot tickets.
  19. What's taking so long, seems he's clearly off.
  20. This is mad. Sadly this Spurs team reminds me of us under Eddie (although it's a small sample size). Doesn't seem to matter who plays as Ange has created a strong system and identity and every player is fully behind him. No right to start this strong with that lineup against a good Villa team.
  21. Said in the pre-match thread that making Chelsea favourites at SJP seems like a massive overreaction to one weeks results. Going to bet Everton today, they’ve been playing really well and expecting the atmosphere to be extremely hostile as it’s the first home game after the point deduction.
  22. I know but we had those against Arsenal too and some of the squad have got some rest now.
