Yes - but he was clearly Pardewed but yet he received more criticism about it than probably anyone else. (In fact, it was quite a contrast to the treatment, on here, that the other Pardewed players were getting.)
Shearer was much more than a battering ram, even after his injury! His technique at performing the basics was top notch - finishing, passing, crossing, heading, elbowing, etc.
Ronaldo wins it for me, but only by half-star.
To my understanding, "instincts for goals" means being on the end of chances, not necessarily finishing skills.
Rubbish about Cole.
Coles conversion rate was far higher for us than it was for Man Utd. Ferguson however turned him into a far better all round team player.
Not sure how you can really disagree with that unless you weren't around during the 1990s.
His finishing ability at Man Utd improved, towards the later year at least.
At least this big fucker is getting on the end of chances and therefore there's, surely, still a good chance that he might improve his goal/games ratio.
He's showing instincts for goal, he's just needs to brush up his bloody finishing - the stupid twat.
Ronaldo scored 47 goals as a 21 year old in his first season in a new team in a new league. He was the best of the ones you've mentioned, and by a margin. Only Messi is ahead for me in terms of talent.
Hmmm... I think you might have missed out on one important piece of information there, fella.
That he was playing for Barcelona?
No.

Yep - and he wasn't exactly raging or anything. He was slightly more emotional and less calmer than he is, but it was hardly embarrassing conduct by him.
As you said, he was standing up to the likes of Fergie and the FA which shows what a strong personality he is.
I saw him as someone whose Liverpool team played a little bit better football than Gerard Houllier's team and also that he rarely gives credit to the opposition in post match interviews.
