I was watching Ramsey last night, forgot all about the football cos its usually a Thursday. Anway flicked over just at the end of extra time, got shouted at by the wife, so stuck a video in, and had the pleasure of watching those penalties by Jenas and Chimbonda over and over again!

Kenny Miller has only scored 1 more in the same games, with less assists. He's played all of them up fron too. Emile Heskey is yet to score. I don't think Smith should be in the team, but it's nothing to do with lack of goals. It's to do with lack of ability. I didnt realise Miller had only scored that one against us, although to be fair to Smith, give him two games against us and even he would score.

We were rock bottom of Division 2 with only 2 games to play and had just lost 5 games in a row. Kelly scored a screamer at the Gallowgate End with 5 minutes to go meaning we beat Pompey 1-0. Results went our way and even though we beat Leicester 2-1 away the next week it didn't matter due to other results. In effect therefore, Kelly scored the goal that saved us from relegation to division 3 and probably administration. Just to add to that, Micky Quinn, who before this I don't believe had ever passed to anyone else in his career whilst in the box, cushioned a lovely little header down to Ned, who volleyed it into the top corner.

We won 3-2 but at half time Tommy Wright had to go off injured and it was before sub keepers, so Kevin Brock went in goal for the second half. He got concussion early on, but played the rest of the game and kept a clean sheet in the second half. I remember listening to this on Metro convinced it was surely only a matter of time until they scored. Anyone got the team from that game?

This has annoyed me more than the fact we have lost the last 2, the fact that now Smith is one booking away from a ban, he has stopped getting booked.

Very intimidating atmosphere. The Inter fans above us were throwing anything and everything down on us and the police just cowered under the sheltered part, venturing out only when someone had the temerity to throw a coin back. I went with a mate and his wife, my wife was meant to be there too, kind of a mini break in Milan combined with the game, but she was too sick with her pregnancy and pulled out last minute. Thank god for that, because had she been there I would have had to leave the game. Fair play to her though, she stayed at home to watch the game on tv before letting her dad take her into hospital where she remained for 2 weeks!

At first I thought playing on Monday night could go against us, as we may actually be in the bottom three by then, but then looking at the fixtures, the three teams around us playing on Saturday face Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea. Then Fulham have Everton on the Sunday, so other than one of Wigan V Bolton, in theory, none of them should get any points.

If we have turned him down over wages then I hope this doesn't come back to bite us. We are only a couple of injuries or suspensions away from Ramage being back in the squad!

Liverpool play next week as Milan are home to Arsenal tonight.

Although to be fair, 2 of those games were against us!

I'm watching Man U v Lyon. 2 very confident sides who both look dangerous going foward yet also very assured at the back. And yes, I am very very jealous.

On a positive note, most of our goals have came in the second half recently. Mind you, so have most of the ones we have conceded!

I'd take a draw just now. I couldnt take another defeat, and the way the bottom three are playing it would at least put another point between us.
