he is always in and out of the team. was even dropped during the second half of last season.basically, he is real mallorca's version of Milner maybe even less important. Quite dispensable..... read in the fans forum, that the fans are happy to get rid of this deadweight. some are upset cos he is a very hardworking player and i have enough of grafters...we have too many..looking like a League 1 midfield soon. Anwyay, he is not the creative and flair player and not an integral part of the team. their key playmaker is Arango...shld sign him. like my spain friend say, he plays like Emerton. i do not rate Emerton. No offense, but I wouldn't base my opinions on a fans forum. It might not be entirely representative....personally I'm more inclined to trust Keegan's opinion and that of our scouting team Based on track record, i would not trust them very much on unknown quality. unless the whole scouting team has been revamped following KK's appt. mackems.gif Do you live in a cave?

Personally I think it's a bit early to draw conclusions about the club's transfer activities on the basis of the first signing. And to me, where the player comes from doesn't matter, it's how they play for us that counts. For instance Peter Beardsley came to us from Toronto Blue Star iirc (first time around). what bothers me is not that he comes from a small club but he is not even their top 5 player or an important player for them. How the fuck would you know?
-
What the fuck did they expect him to say? 'No, Arsenal are a smaller club than Newcastle. What I'm really holding out for is a move to Bolton.'? I agree, can't see Arsenal wanting him but I do like the way the way they're stalling over the £15m pricetag despite him havin a £13m release clause, things must really have gone to pot since David Dein left. mackems.gif

Fucking hell, Barca are after me!
-
Barcelona is a big club that everyone wants to play for. I am thrilled and it will be nice to play for such a team.
-
Jesus Christ, it's NUFC media horseshit bingo. All we need now is a Nicky Shorey, a KK Out and a Pascal Chimbonda for a full house.

I'm bored of my £8 loaf of bread. Anyone want it for £22? PM me.

Tomorrow's SUNSPORT EXCLUSIVE: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1383689.ece MIKE ASHLEY has been told to get out of Toon by fuming fans seething over his plans to sell up. Seriously though, Frank Gilmour, who seems to get his opinions into everything, should shut his fucking mouth.

It´s a quote from a dodgy chairman (http://www.mallorcacharteredsurveyors.com/en-news.asp?id=28) desperate to recoup some money to make up for his failings whilst in the process of selling up the club. It sounds rather like whinging to me, and I don´t know what to make of it.. Anyway, as I´ve said before, it´s not about this particular signing that I am increasingly concerned, it´s about our comparative low spending and our cost cutting culture compared to our competitors. Agree completely. The low spending thing might well stand up I suppose, but where is the 'cost cutting culture' info coming from? Just the rags from what I can see, and they've demonstrated in the last week exactly how much they know about us. It's just rumour at this stage. Well there was a rumour posted last night that the salary cap thing is bollocks, why not believe that instead? It'll all come out in the wash. Let's judge at the close of the transfer window and then how we do next season. If it was all purely about how much we spend, we'd have done a hell of a lot better under the last lot* than we did. *Not a criticism before anyone starts... Even then, the "low spending" thing doesn't stand up on this occasion because, as I've pointed out about five times to the "show me the money, I've heard Albert Luque's available for £10m" brigade, the lad's paid his contract up meaning his value and what we've paid are mutually exclusive. Without wanting to sound like James, this Webster rule can potentially change football even more than Bosman did. We should be pleased that we're taking advantage to get good players cheaply. I don't know if he is a good player, I know nowt about him, but we didn't just pluck his name out of nowhere in midweek - again, we're falling into the trap of assuming the papers know anything at all. We'll have been tracking him and I've no doubt that Wise/KK/Vetere and Jimenez will be sure of what they've got. If Ronaldo pays his contract up tomorrow (yeah I know James, he can't), it doesn't automatically make him worth any less for God's sake.

White or brown? White, don't want to upset Sniffer.

We need to start paying massively over the odds for players even when they're going cheap or free. That makes them betterer innit? I paid £8 for a loaf of bread earlier. My sandwiches on Monday will be fucking sublime.
-
Never heard of him.
-
hahaha tbh, i have heard of all the mentioned except for Toure. In fact, i knew Berbatov is a very good signing. they are all either stars or rising stars before coming to the Prem. hahaha tbh I've been to St James' Park. If you don't like my club from my city, do one.

I sure am. I need to to be able to tell you I told you so later on.. Do you remember last summer´s and this January´s transfer windows, because there is a pattern to be found..? What's the pattern? How many players who paid off their own contracts did we get? How much did we invest (substracting income from players sold)? How much did our competitors and the top 4 invest? Christ. He has paid his own contract off. Is that a genuinely difficult concept? He could be worth £40m, if he's paid his own contract off, we'd still have got him for the same amount. And Arsenal have spent less overall than just about everyone over the past five years btw. That's because Wenger disagrees with your opinion that money = success. If we'd come out and announced that we'd signed this bloke for £10m, would you be more comfortable, yes or no? Bring back Shepherd and his brilliant negotiating, all is forgiven.

Hopefully £76m. He'll be mint. He better not be free, the useless cunt.

Your edit makes even less sense.. Nowhere have I suggested he is shit. There's nothing much to suggest he is of the class to make us compete at the top end of the table either unfortunately, which is all I was pointing out. Some people on here will make you believe somebody they had never heard of the day before they signed for NUFC is everything we have been crying out for the day he signs.. "Nothing much to suggest" - have you ever seen the lad play like? What's to suggest (to steal Dave's examples) Jo will take Man City higher? Or Modric with Spurs? It's certainly not games in the dross of the Russian or Croatian league. Oh yeah. The fee.

The Independent: "These stories are absolute nonsense," said a Newcastle spokesman, "and we are growing increasingly tired of having to respond to this sort of story." Once again there was no direct response from Ashley or from his new managing director at the club, Derek Llambias, and in part their silence fuels the rumours emanating from the City of London that Ashley has let it be known that he would be a willing seller should a purchaser offer sufficient money, in this case around £400m. mackems.gif So it actually has to be Ashley himself, in person, that comes out and denies these "rumours" (i.e. fabricated bollocks). Perhaps he should do a gig at St James' or write a book to get his point across?

Go to bed and sleep off the shandy ffs.

Love how Pompey were supposedly willing to pay £8m but getting him for peanuts is bad business. I'd never heard of Dimitar Berbatov, Pascal Chimbonda, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Habib Beye, Kolo Toure, Robin van Persie, Eduardo da Silva, Luis Nani... I could do this all night. But he was cheap (for reasons that were fuck all to do with his actual value) so he must be shit. Oh and he's also shit because he's only the right winger from a club who have finished 7th in one of Europe's best two leagues - I reckon we should go after Bentley instead.

Harper miskicked at White Hart Lane, straight to Defoe who was in on goal and scored, I was there, shit game. I think after his slip at Anfield, Harper conceded a header in a cup tie at the Leazes End, just a consolation but a header that went straight at him but slipped from his grasp and under his legs, I think that might be what lovejoy's thinking of. However, the only time Harper's made ricks has been in the two or three games after coming back into the side - when he's had a run, he's generally been very solid. You can't blame a guy for being rusty, there's no replacement for match practice. Why some Newcastle fans have something against him is totally beyond me. We have been spoiled with Shay though - error wise, there are not many keepers in Premiership history that have made less ricks than Shay - goals where you can clearly say "that was the keeper's fault", which makes the last season or two look worse for Shay because he's probably made more in that time than his entire career.
-
Apart from anything else, he's not and has never been the chairman. Clueless.

Any word on these?

This is the problem, to your average man on the street who's not an internet geek like us lot who see so much media bullshit, this is real news and really does unsettle the club by creating distrust between fans and board.
