Joey Barton's shown himself to be a far superior player to Bullard.

I think it was a public vote, making it all the more bizarre in a way. What were folk watching?

We sell out a bigger stadium than Man City's every week, that wouldn't pay off a £50m transfer I'm afraid. People always say this in this situation - how much does the fee have to be exactly before they stop "paying for themselves"?

http://nufcblog.com/2008/07/14/transfer-news/newcastle-make-move-for-pablo-aimar-at-last-minute/ I was sceptical but if NUFC Blog are reporting it...

It's in the Mail.

Unfortunately not, going to the Doncaster game though. Gayer. Hope we do see a team as strong as that, though I actually hope Duff plays some part. He'll be damn sure to hear me abusing him at Vic Park, he doesn't seem to be getting the message from L4 of the Leazes.

You travelling up Dave?

There's a seven man bench system this season too, making a bigger squad even more important. I do wish we could go back to the days of Matty Pattison starting Premiership games and being unable to fill a five man bench though. Great times.

He was leaning towards that yes. Ones who don't have a good word to say about the club, who prefer Spurs and live right next to WHL, aye. Get lost. That goes for ShitheaD too, both get yourself along. I don't have a good word to say about the club? I was merely stating Spurs>>Us. I am sorry if you feel otherwise but this is reality. Go away.

You've called me a mong atleast 100 times by sending me PM's for no reason. Thanks for the abuse and all. But it seems you are the only one speaking mongorial. Ramos' track record is really hard to argue against. Look what he did at Sevilla and he won a trophy in his first season at Spurs. If we won a trophy, I would probably kiss you (Dagger in hand ofcourse). What about the nine clubs he managed before Sevilla where he did jack s***? And why don't you support Spurs if that's where you're from? My dad supports Newcastle. Also I don't see why I should have to support the team which is near-by because you support the team you like. They're called Newcastle because they're named after the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. They represent the city. They're based there. You'd know if you'd been. Piss off. Yes ok, I agree but I am saying that say I lived in Spain would you be like why do you support Newcastle? The Spanish fans support Newcastle as they like the team. Similarly, I loved to watch Newcastle when I was young because there were lots of goals. Together with this, my dad supports Newcastle as he went to Durham and Newcastle Univesities. Were they both closed?

They had Jol (who they were all jizzing over 6 months earlier because he got them to the unscaled heights of 5th) until October and we had Allardyce until January and they still only managed to finish "one game against Derby" ahead of us, despite replacing Jol with the world's greatest manager. Funny that.

rather him than Guthrie. He looks good in other game. that day, Martins is just too good I agree on this. O'hara is decent. 1) Why would you rather O'Hara than Guthrie, on the basis you probably haven't seen much of either of them? O'Hara is a squad player at a significantly worse club that Guthrie. 2) How much would you pay for O'Hara? Both questions to both of you. How dare you say that about Spurs? You sicken me. Let's be honest we all know Spurs>>Bolton so stop talking out of your Arse. Aimed at LLLO Guthrie was a Liverpool player, you halfwit. Half's being generous actually.

As for Guthrie, we all know he is nothing special and is just another one of those Shola's. Better trust you and your friends over KK then If his friends are as thick as him, we're laughing.

Love how we'd be improved by reserve players from a team that finished three (3. That's 1. 2. 3. Wow they're miles ahead. ) points ahead of us and who we've absolutely kicked the arse of the past five times we've played them btw.
-
O'Hara ffs. That bugger's still at White Hart Lane now trying to get up from when Oba left him flat on his arse.
-
Let's be honest though, apart from Keith Gillespie, how many young players did he sign that cracked the Premiership? This could be a midfield version of Paul Kitson for all we know. Andy Cole?
-
Can't say I'm that arsed about Stuart Pearce's opinion ahead of KK's like.
-
Why? So he can give them a few free kicks on the edge of the box? He's a liability! Indeed, he's the very worst player to bring on in that situation for that precise reason.

Someone from this forum has got Smith spot on, he isn't really a battling player more a player who will foul whoever is closest to him. Parker battled, he ran round (I mean more than just spin round) and hassled. Smith just kicks anyone he can reach. I would have to admit Parker was far better in this role...despite him not really being the answer either. I'm just forever an optimist, and like to see a bit of passion and a work ethic. 2 things Smith has...the only 2 things. So I don't really want to write him off before the season begins....especially since w e currently have a really small squad. Smith was a real let down last season but at the moment we cant really be selling anymore of our players. Having said that, some of the criticism he's had has been a bit OTT. At least he gives a shit, unlike other wasters like Duff and Emre. Said before, I don't believe he does give a shit unless it involves kicking someone.
