Hope he does well for them, good luck to him.

I've not seen anything, did Owen play in the withdrawn linking-up role when he came on?

what would premiership crowds be like if it was £10 to get in. it's far cheaper in germany to go to football and good on them for having it that way Agreed, but thats also the reason it doesnt have the talent of the premiership! I would happily swap having the 'talent of the premiership' for having 10 quid tickets and safe standing. football would be miles better. Why don't you just support a league two team then? It's not even that much cheaper in the lower leagues in this country. I don't know how much you pay at Scunthorpe but I went to Hartlepool vs Yeovil on Monday and paid £18 to get in, standing. Would have been even more expensive had I been sitting. Absolutely scandalous and pretty typical of the prices at that level. IIRC Leeds are still charging Premiership prices. From that point of view, it's no the wonder kids would rather go glory hunting - you can get into Old Trafford for £25. That's a tiny rise in price for an astronomic rise in quality.

£20 would be too much but a tenner is £500k. They'd have to get some pulling power but there's got to be loads of players from all over the world who would play. Pity Ronaldo's fucked.

Is that the big news from Spurs, Hutton rates Ramos ahead of Walter Smith and Alex McLeish? Wowzer. Next week we hear from Nicky Butt who thinks Alex Ferguson has the edge over Steve Bruce.
-
Fuck me, it never stops. Custis is a Grade A shitbag, loves stirring shit about the club he purports to support.

Taylor's played over 120 games for Newcastle, nearly 100 in the league alone, Enrique's played, what, 15? And he's come from another country, another culture, another style of football and another language. When Enrique's played that many games and he's still making the same mistakes and not improving, then maybe it'll be a fair comparison. FWIW I think Taylor's worth his place at the moment and there's a canny list of players I'd like to see out the door before him.

Me as well, I've got no idea.

Love the random speculation about what Keegan thinks based on nowt btw.
-
If he was a few years younger and at his current standard with room to improve then maybe, but not at nearly 30. He can only go downhill. He's a canny player though, odd how it took him so long to get to this level. There's much worse have played their whole careers in the Premiership.

Didn't you see the way Faye was easily brushed aside by McFadden last week? You having a laugh or what?
-
Exactly. I couldn't give two fucks whether he wants to be away or not either.
-
I wouldn't take less than ten.

Eh? Don't know if you've noticed but we're shit.

Aye Wullie, we will take your advice on board because he is one your favorites

Let's not get carried away as usual. We've beaten Fulham. Long way to go before we start championing this as the future. Against better midfielders, there's every chance Owen dropping deep will simply disappear. I think it's the way to go until the end of the season though, mainly because you can't drop any of the three strikers. If all three stay fit, he'll have some big decisions to make when Milner and Emre return. That's if we ever see Emre again like.
-
I like him a lot and he's clearly benefiting from having a run of games. Let's not pore over every time he makes a bad pass or loses the ball and let's not listen to tabloid parasites telling us he's a misfit/unhappy, just let him develop and I think we can end up with a very good left back.

You can't drop Martins against Spurs, he usually has a field day against them. King's a doubt and that means Michael Dawson will come in. That lad will be wetting the bed this week at the thought of Martins taking the piss out of him for the fourth time.

The quote in my sig is from "A Mag For All Seasons" by Billy Furious. This is what he's got to say about celebrations: "To this day some referees don't understand the difference between a player celebrating a goal in front of his own fans and a player taunting the opposition's fans. You still see them disrupting celebrations, blowing their silly little whistles and even booking players for "over-celebrating". If a player scores a goal and then waves his cock (his penis OR his pet rooster) at the other team's fans then, maybe, he should be booked. But if a player scores and celebrates in front of his own fans, he is entitled to walk along the crossbar juggling the half time oranges, build a human pyramid with his team mates and impregnate his girlfriend while we cheer him on. Ok? Ok. Already in the 92/93 season we had seen Lee Clark firmly chastised and threatened by the official for celebrating a goal by snatching a bobble hat off a youth's head, pulling it over his eyes and feigning comedy blindness. Years later we lost Tino Asprilla from a vital Champions League game because he got booked for putting his shirt on the corner flag and waving it above his head like a flag. This is the entertainment business darlings and the punters love it, so back the fuck off." Spot on imo.

I didn't even understand what they were moaning about. Getting beat and he brought off Makelele, the world's most defensive midfielder, and Michael Ballack, who they all hate anyway and have made no secret of the fact - and brought on an attacking full back and Nicolas Anelka. How is that not a good substitution?
-
But Big Sam got worse treatment and no one had a problem with that, I am not justifying it at all its just double standards. Don't remember Sam ever getting flak ten minutes away from a win. Feel free to prove me wrong though.

Not even a comparison there to be made imo.
