  1. 1 win out of 8? Brilliant.
  2. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/story_pages/sport/sport2.shtml I'd love it if that was true. Fat whinging twat.
  3. Phil Neville ffs. Worse than them getting 8 minutes added on in 1993 against Wednesday. Dodgy as fuck.
  4. It'll be interesting to see how much he'll be available for in the summer. "Any cost" is pushing it, but I'd love to sign him. Brilliant player.
  5. One of my best mates is a Leeds fan too. Sad to see them go down imo, their fans have been royally screwed over, hope they come straight back up. On the other hand, we've already been arranging exchange trips between us to Victoria Park and Elland Road. Hartlepool vs Leeds next season. Incredible.
  6. Best thing about this is that Bolton will drop like a stone. Fantastic.
  7. I can't stand the bloke one bit but I have to say I'd probably take him.
  8. They ran away with that division under McCarthy and look what happened there. That said, I think they'll do better this time round - they couldn't really do any worse.
  9. My mate's in Dublin at the moment, he just texted saying the pub was going wild whenever the mackems scored, as if he'd been in sunderland. Fucking pathetic, after what Keane did to them as well, losers.

    Dida for sale!

Not funny anymore, if it ever was.
  11. Sibierski's not a midfielder in any shape or form. That's why he's been a modest success here while he was awful at Citeh, because that's where they played him.
  12. Ah, the 'Bellamy defence'. Because that's where he's from and because his fitness is still a stumbling block. Pretty obvious tbh.
  13. man utd have ferdinand and vidic. chelsea have terry and carvalhio, arsenal have toure and gallas. we have taylor and bramble Chelsea have also has Essien at CB for numerous games and will no doubt be going for one in the summer. The clubs you mentioned already have quality centre backs but still see him as a risk, we have nowhere near their quality so can't afford the risk. I dont agree with you because i believe woodgates too good a player to have as a sub and i cant see mourinho playin him before carvalhio or terry Woodgate, Terry, Cole, 'need a decent right back', Cech would probably conceed < 10 goals over a season Carvalhio is a better defender then Woodgate so i fail to see how the addition of Woodgate to the Chelsea squad will drastically improve them. If anything, woodgate is similiar to Terry in terms of style of play. A relativly fast striker will out pace the pair like theres no tomorrow. Carvalho. Jesper Gronkjaer might have been shite but he was like shit off a stick. Didn't stop Woodgate catching him up despite Gronkjaer having a ten yard head start.
  14. How by disagreeing that Woodgate is anywhere near one of the best players in the world? Say that to any neutral and see who's really embarrassing themselves. Real Madrid paid £14m for him, despite the fact they knew he had chronic injury problems. Does that not tell you something? But no, you know best. You'll be telling me Ledley King is better than him next. Do you think any English CBs fit your criteria then?
  15. kingdawson suitably embarrassing himself again. Fair play to Boro, I thought he'd leave, if they can get a signature on Viduka's deal now, they'll be alright next season. Without the pair of them, I was tipping them to go down.
  16. When I ran my eyes down the Championship table, I thought about putting loads of clubs in ahead of Coventry, despite the fact they were in the first division for fucking ages. Don't think of them as a big club at all these days, deserved to be in the list though.
  17. I've been saying the same all week. Both absolute garbage at SJP.
  18. Bolton are nothing like Wigan, they've won the fa cup four times for one thing and crucially as far as thisdiscussion matters they've got the 13th best record in top flight football which is a better record than the likes of Leeds, Blackburn, Forest, West Ham etc. they've also been in and around the premiership for 12 years, unlike wigan. All fair points. Part of my criteria for what makes a tinpot nationwide club is the matchday experience and Bolton tick every box in the "circus" category, that's my main reason. No club with cheerleaders should be in the Premiership. I'd make that an official rule btw. not a bad suggestion. the one club i totally forgot about was Southampton who had always been in the premiership since i started following football. i think it is cos they've moved to a souless out-of-town identikit stadium, the kind of thing i associate with tinpot clubs in the championship. were they still at the Dell i think i would've more readily placed them as a top flight side. Aye that's why my mate put 'only at the Dell' as a criteria. I had also completely forgotten about them until he read his out, then I had to do a quick edit.

  20. Norwich competed for the title in '93 tbf. They fell away in the last few weeks but were top for a long time.
  21. I thought about Birmingham, even though they've only been in the top flight for a couple of seasons in my lifetime, I still consider them a big club for some reason. Bolton to me, along with Wigan, are the epitome of a club that is not top flight material in any shape or form. They'll have to win it before I think about putting them in.
  22. I've revised my list about three times, it's hard once you've got the core 12-15. I was mulling over Leicester, Charlton, Ipswich and Derby.
