Glad that Pearce will be staying, then? No. Just happy we're not getting relegated anymore. Not sure there was really much danger of that, mate. 6 points clear with far better goal difference AND a game in hand. 6 points from 9 games is a hefty ask from the bottom three, never mind much more than that. Charlton were only 6 points behind us before today, our game in hand is Arsenal away, and we just haven't looked like scoring or getting anything, wheras they're full of goals from Ambrose and Bent. ALl it would take is for them to beat us when they come up here and they only need a win and a draw to overhaul us. But as it stands we've overtaken Sheffield United and Wigan, and got a bit of momentum and belief back...I'm very relieved. I couldn't see where we were going to get a point from but we've got lucky with playing Boro's before their monday replay and got a bit of break from a set-piece...suddenly we're safe. Jeez i'm fickle My mate reckons Citeh are the worst team he's seen at the Riverside this season, thought you were abysmal. Still says you deserved to beat them though.

Wish he was on fire.

Here's kingdawson coming along (bloody fast from the match again, he must live next door) to compare Paul Robinson's goal ratio favourably to Martins'.
-
Paul Robinson Bloody brilliant result for Pools, none of the others at the top won either. Fucking love it.
-
Hartlepool 2-0 down, looks like the unbeaten run is over. Fuck. Mackems winning as well, cunts.
-
No thank you. Why would anyone want us to write off another season? Don't get it.
-
maybe people will think twice before posting s****, I can't stand wading through ill thought out posts with zero logic and forethought, just emotional reactionary tartism Agreed, What a ridiculous thread. There is nothing the players could possibly do to please the people on this forum. They could win a tie in which we twice have a three goal lead? Just a thought.
-
better than being a fucking brainless sheep posting the same mindless shite with zero thought put into it I take it you agree with these useless sentiments then, don't expect a reply, don't want you to exercise yourself The only thought you ever put into a reply is "how can I disagree with this?".

First Boro, now Spurs? If Sevilla do them, I'm definitely going and buying a Sevilla shirt.
-
Mary, Mary tbh. Very boring.
-
You fully deserved your win, good luck for the rest of the tournament mate.
-
Pull the punches is exactly what he does. Blame the players ahead of his mate as usual, prick.
-
Incredibly stupid, not least because there was still a good 90 seconds left on the clock, those went up in smoke. Can understand the frustration but should have known better than that.
-
Haddaway and shite man, we've kept 1 clean sheet in the last 20. Just cos they say our defence is shit doesn't automatically mean it's not. It is.
-
He should be shot for coming out with that. I could have told the stupid twat that in July, so could everyone else (apart from NE5, he wanted some more left wingers, at least 7 would do.)
-
The clump of five Newcastle players stood together constantly on the edge of the penalty area in the last ten minutes was embarrassing, Jim Beglin rightly said you could have thrown a towel over them. We needed to spread the play and we just got narrower and narrower as the game went on, meanwhile the main player in our squad who plays with his boots on the touchline was sat on the bench. Tactical genius. Least he'll be "rested" for the meaningless game at the weekend.
-
FACT. To cap it off, the stupid cunt moans about injuries. Fucking knobhead.
-
Souness Mk 2. Fuck off Glenn, fuck off now, you utter utter arsehole. Can't believe the twat has the nerve to come out with that shite. >
-
I'm glad ITV decided not to show that. They only had the match apparently, C5 have got the rights to the rest. Video's set for John Barnes' Football Night.
-
blueyes.gif At the match itself, I was as pissed off as I've been all season. Everything about that penalty said "hard luck" and it just carried right through.
-
Ditto. Had some personal bad news last night too, so this doesn't feel all that bad right now tbh. It'd feel better if we'd won it like.
-
Ronaldo is seething. I never want to hear talk of a new contract for this fat useless waste of space ever again.
-
I expected it, I've been worried about this match all week. No bottle when we go ahead, none whatsoever. If this had been a one-ff game tonight, at Alkmaar, 0-0 at the start, I'd have been far more confident. Sitting on first-leg leads is for cowards and it rarely works.
