f****** idiot Emre is supposed to be a creative midfielder yet he hardly creates or scores. Jenas may not be as 'flashy' as him but he's way more productive. Jenas is one of the least productive players I've ever had the misfortune to watch.

I think it was Tony Cascarino who wrote an article earlier in the season saying that Berbatov very rarely scores against better defences, if you look at his record for both Spurs and Bulgaria then it seems Cascarino has hit the nail on the head. Good player though but needs a better goalscorer than Defoe next to him. Yep, Im sure his goals have mainly been against poor teams this season. He does have a problem scoring away from home aswell. He's got a great first touch but he does lack pace Just slammed both those theories tbh. How? I said he rarely scores against good defences, just because he scored past Chelsea (who have Essien at CB) doesn't mean the statement isn't true. so thats chelsea and arsenal he's scored against out of the so called big clubs. What would be interesting is if you can tell me what big clubs martins has scored against? Well he's scored two against the biggest club in the world. Surprised you don't remember them actually.

I thought it was a blatant dive. Thought Barca were unlucky not to get two penalties too, one for someone clattering Ronaldinho and the other for a trip on Messi.
-
His decision making was terrible, the lad is wasting away. Had a great chance right at the death to slide a pass through to Drogba who was bursting into the box beyond the defence and he just crossed it high straight to the goalkeeper. Piss poor.

Get in Chelsea! Wright Phillips would fit right in at NUFC, he's mastered the art of cheaply giving the ball away.

I will stick to English. Similar or better 1. Seb Hines (Middlesbrough) 2. Gary Cahill (Aston Villa) 3. Liam Ridgewell (Aston Villa) 4. Micah Richards (Man City) That said, I don't want Taylor to go, no matter how much they offer. Do you do it just to wind me up? Seb Hines ffs.

Wish someone would break Robben's legs. Still a Chelsea fan for the day, like I was a Man Utd fan yesterday. Typically both are doing their best to piss it up the wall, wankers. God I fucking hate Spurs.

Cup holders definitely qualify automatically.

How good were Mancini's stepovers the other night?
-
Didn't hear it, but you're right, it doesn't work without Eric.

Not in the slightest, did brilliantly to get what he did on the tackle, just unfortunate it ended up where it did.

Sorry about that then, NE5. Should have said "Leazes", got mixed-up. Seriously, what is so funny here? Is this some sort of joke that is flying over my noggin?! Leazes and NE5 are the same person, always have been. Everyone knows it, it's plainly obvious, but Leazes denies it absolutely. He'll be well happy to see your posts on the matter.

Yeah, I've always said this. That's how Wigan got to the Carling Cup final last season, through having more time to score an away goal at Arsenal, which they did and went through 2-2 on aggregate, not fair at all. I thought it used to be, in European competition, that away goals would apply up to full time, then after that it would be normal extra time, that's how it should be imo. I'm not sure if this has ever been the case though, maybe I just thought it was because that seemed the fair option. I can see your point about home advantage though.

I fancy an English club to win it... unfortunately. Cunts.

Hoskins and Mariappa have 13 appearances between them, yet you'd sign them for Newcastle United. Again, interesting. Have you actually seen either of these players play?
-
How do you know they've got potential when you've never seen them and most Watford fans have never seen them?
-
I thought of this thread during the match. First half, their defenders and goalkeeper were fucking terrified of us closing them down. We stopped doing it second half though, disappointing.
-
I think £20 is ok in the round of 16. It's before this round I had a problem with.

I'm going to be Ronaldo-tastic and say Bramble's tackle was one of the finest I've seen in years. I thought his and Taylor's were perfectly timed against Zulte, but tonight's was something else. He had no right to get that ball.
-
The kid's fucking brilliant. Still gutted he didn't bury that 1 on 1, but I'll let him off.
-
Absolutely gutted to have conceded that second away goal in the manner we did, everything about it was so unlucky - the ball hitting Taylor when he could do nothing, the rare Shay save from the spot, the fantastic Parker tackle and the shot just evading Bramble, but it's a good result all the same, I'd expect us to score over there, cos their defence was atrocious. First half, we were as good as we've been all season, the front six were outstanding, especially Dyer, Martins and the Sib.
