My mate was at the Boro game on Saturday and he heard Les Reed's post match interview on the way home, he's been pissing himself about it ever since, because Reed said something along the lines of "we set out to try and stifle Boro's main playmaker, George Boateng" which is a bit like saying that about us and Nicky Butt.

They've both been excellent of late, and hats off to them, particularly Ramage, who I've been highly critical of.

I'm seriously creasing up here. How can finishing 5th one season and qualifying for Europe for the first time in god knows how long make so many people deluded to that extent? There was one post I saw that said that they 'look forward to finishing above us AGAIN'. But they ALWAYS finish above us don't they blueconfused.gif well we have for the past 2 seasons and we are currently above you. We have had our problems with Souness f***ing everything up yet last season (your best for a long while) you finished 7 points ahead of us and this season after a woeful start you are 3 points above. Yes beating you was a hell of a scalp! I dont understand why you keep going on about Souness?? is it our fault your board decided to appoint such a useless manager? does that mean that season shouldnt count?. What about the season before that when Santini messed everything up, yet we still managed to finish above you. Its sad when you constantly use the Greame Souness era as some sort of excuse as if that season shouldnt be counted. I think the point is that we consider ourselves to be genuinely in the doldrums and majorly fucked up, while you think you're now one of the big boys, and yet we're only touching distance apart, and if yesterday is any evidence, we'll overtake you again before long.

I'm fucking over the moon at beating Spurs, mainly because of the twats that get on here who think they're the new Chelsea, when really they're the new Spurs. Mid-table wank. Seriously, they all thought all they had to do yesterday was turn up and walk away with 3 points against the thick northerners, and we fucking caned the useless twats. Fucking brilliant.

I love it when opposition fans try to offend us by doing something wacky like spelling 'Geordie' wrong, as in 'Jawdie'. "Oh noes! I prefer Magners as it leaves me feeling less bloated, Stowford Press is by far the best cider out there though IMHO. Never had that, I'll have to look out for it. Cider tends to be shunned by the offers in the supermarket, apart from Strongbow, which is why I tend to stick to that in the house.

Magners is canny, but I don't see the fuss. I don't see it as that different to most types of cider, despite lager drinkers often opting for it. And Dave is right, the pear stuff they sell in Wetherspoons is BEAUTIFUL.

I didn't realise Spurs were that bad like. We've played Charlton, Sheff Utd and Watford and Spurs were easily worse than all of them. Absolutely fucking rubbish.
