I thought the whole point of having VAR in some FA Cup games and not others was "well we've got it at the PL grounds anyway so might as well use it" but it seems like the usual cameras weren't in operation at Anfield? Unless the cameras never stretch to the corner taker on the near side? I remember something similar happening in a (I think) Juventus game. All very strange.

I'm very surprised at the absolutely enormous card prices for Cardiff Leeds. Big rivalry, usually a very feisty fixture (6 reds in the last 10 meetings), on TV, crowd will be well up for it. 3 cards each gets you 22/1. Gillet is very hit and miss which might be the reason but they're still much bigger than I'd expect.

It's not the run up as such, I don't like the penalties where a player runs up, stops, the goalkeeper instinctively moves and they put it in the other corner. Lewandowski does it a lot. I don't think it's markedly different in practice from a feint that is a bookable offence.

Him asking Bruno Fernandes why Ronaldo wasn't taking the penalty against Villa was one of the funniest things in recent seasons. I don't mind a bit of keeper shithousing at all, I think penalty takers are given far too much leeway these days re: stuttering run ups, waiting for the keeper to dive etc, I'm all for a bit of redress.

Argentina's only real weakness has been a fragility immediately after conceding that's seen them nearly blow several games they'd controlled for 80 minutes. They've only conceded 11 shots on goal in the entire tournament. They completely outplayed Netherlands, Croatia and France and are totally deserving winners.
