  1. He's made 10s of millions, absolutely tonnes. Through SD. That's the scam. Is this actually the case, then? Is Sports Direct doing really well? The day Ashley bought NUFC, a Sports Direct share would have cost you 36p. It'll currently cost you £7.83 so it's around 22 times more valuable than it was.
  2. He'll get thrown off the bench after 59 minutes in a desperate attempt to keep people in the ground.
  3. He's fucked up really, if he wanted to make HBA look bad, he could have hoyed him into any of the last few games from the start, when we've never had the fucking ball and idiots would have fallen for the hate campaign. Instead we get our arse kicked every week and Ben Arfa sits it out. Who looks the cunt then, Alan?
  4. “The manager told me I had to score more and get more assists for everybody’s confidence - the supporters, the players and him. I said 'Okay, but I have to play.' Can we not have a whip round, buy his contract out and just put him in Kevin Keegan's back garden for the pair of them to knock around?
  5. Really didn't understand all the praise for that result. Left them vulnerable to getting done by away goals, especially as Atletico are good going forward. I can never understand why we still think a 0-0 draw away from home is a good result these days since the away goals rule came in. "these days" Aye, it's never been the same since 1965.

    Kevin Keegan

I got the impression from that show with Harmison that he finds talking about it very uncomfortable.
  7. Is TheGuv invited to the night out?
  8. Any chance we can get him on tape making some racist remarks?
  9. Well exactly. But it won't be. It'll be done on the cheap again, taking advantage of relegated clubs and free garbage like Gosling.
  10. This supposed "Buy British" policy worries me far more than the French one did.
  11. Presume Stabaek are the boys again tomorrow Kaiz at 12/5 away to the bottom side? Any value in the other game?
  12. That's half the problem, like. Liverpool and Man U fight this sort of thing with fire. That's part of the reason they're the clubs they are. Yup, I think having key people in the media too really helps them not stand for mediocrity. Look at the number of pundits who are affiliated with one or the other whereas Shearer (our only one) barely puts the boot in at all. most of the media is barely aware of the existence of clubs outside "the elite" and think so long as your not getting relegated you have no right to complain ever and your "deluded" if the idea of trying to compete or improve is brought up. Just be honored to bask in the reflected glory of Man Utd, Liverpool and co. Not just the elite, they'll always jump on board with Spurs and West Ham too. The worst thing for me is that our local media are completely on board with this point of view too. Pardew has benefited massively from nearly getting us relegated, he's made coming 9th and breaking various negative club records look like a magnificent achievement because of how disgustingly bad he's been at his job in the past. Where have the shitloads of Newcastle supporters that are happy with a mid-table finish sprung up from in the last ten years? They certainly weren't there when Bobby Robson finished 5th.
  13. Unfortunately football is one of those things that everybody has an opinion on and contrary to popular belief, just because you really like/love something, doesn't necessarily mean you know anything about it. I like films but I'm not Mark Kermode. There is a massive swell of people in the general populace who genuinely believe that a manager has little effect beyond picking the team on a Saturday (unfortunately our owner falls into this category). I've got involved on that Facebook to try and dilute the halfwits but I couldn't do it on a regular basis. There's loads of people at work who I know absolutely love football yet I wouldn't dare strike up a conversation because I know that a) it's pointless and b) it'll only wind me up.
  14. Bayern conceded two very simple set piece goals early on. Game over. After that, they predictably loaded men forward and got hit on the break.
  15. Chris Loxley I don't bother with football since gazza left but could someone explain how it's the managers fault the team are rubbish?

    José Mourinho

    Not against Spurs he didn't.
  17. Probably got a double page spread with all his other milestones on.
  18. This is why I hated the attitude of some when Keegan walked, that "he should have swallowed his pride and stuck with it for the good of the club" What, and become a spineless snivelling little shitbag like Alan Pardew, licking his boss's hoop in public and lying to the supporters at every opportunity? The man has far too much about him to do that and every Newcastle fan should respect 100% his decision to walk. Not just respect it in fact, love it - how many people stand up to Mike Ashley and win? Ah he's fucking great, man.
