I've never heard him criticise Pardew or Ashley in any way, shape or form.

The results against the better sides were generally patching up the poor results against shite ones earlier in the season. Now the better sides are beating us and the other results haven't improved. That's why I was incredibly irritated by dreary patter earlier in the season about "doesn't matter that we didn't beat Shite Team X because we beat Good Team Y" - you can't consistently beat good teams unless you're one yourself (and we're not) so those results were always going to come to an end and we've done nothing to address the fact that we get beaten by shit teams more than the vast majority of the rest of the league do.

Not sure I'd describe Marveaux's last minute chance as 'heartbreaking' like.
