  1. It's a massive, massive problem. I do agree, but what passion/commitment that is there in the players has been eroded and nullified. The lack of ambition from the top down has washed away a culture which can sustain professional pride, I can't see how it couldn't tbh. I'm not as convinced our first XI is as poor, ability wise, as they've been showing lately. Cabaye is a fucking huge loss though, and our balance has been thrown the fuck off without him. Still, our first XI is only a few players short of being a pretty decent outfit that can compete well with most teams. Well, in theory anyway if not with Pardew. Beneath that, we're a long, long way off a top four squad. I'm beginning to think Cabaye was the only one knitting the side together, he was our outstanding player by a country mile and our form and results has basically been linked to if he was playing and how well he was playing. Without him the entire team is lost and we've lost any and all creativity in the centre of midfield, Tiote's good at what he does but it ain't anything that will be in anyway positive in the final third (we've also missed him badly in the last 2 games) Anita-what the hell does he actually do? He doesn't win the ball he has fuck all ability to create something what is the point of him? Sissoko is what he is, a player with tremendous physical attributes not so many technical attributes. Throw in a lack of natural width full backs who can't defend to save their lives and the strikers the club actually owns being worth the square root of fuck all its not in anyway surprising when you take out the outstanding player in the side and refuse to even bother to replace him that our form nosedives. No offence, but if you've not known that was the case since about Cabaye's third or fourth game for us, you weren't watching carefully enough. I got that he was important but christ I didn't think the entire team would look like poor league 1 players without him there. Looked fine against Norwich (without a finishing touch) before Pardew had his style-of-play epiphany. One of the best 45 minutes I've seen from an NUFC side without scoring for a long time in fact. Also Norwich have looked handy since, so it's not like they're in horrendous form or can't play at all. I love these. Remember the last one before we played Spurs? Got beat 5-0.
  2. But why bring it in to the public arena? Does it need to be known by public audience? I can only assume the interviewer asked him specifically if anyone had died today.
  3. If you thought Gouff was rancid tonight then we need invent new shit terms for some of his team mates. The latter is correct regarding training as it looks like random women have dropped some keys in a bowl at a ramdom party and 11 blokes have come to find them. I said his crossing and delivery is, overall he buzzed around as he does and did some good things. He's always 6 or 7 out of 10, which in our current state is praise indeed.
  4. Proof if ever it were needed that he'll use absolutely anything he can to excuse his horrendous performance. Appalling patter.

  6. Whoever scores first will win. If it's them, comfortably. If it's us, by the skin of our teeth. The end.
  7. At any other club (or at this club in any other time), it would have been a suicide note.
  8. Showed his limitations as a wide player tonight without Cabaye's central creativity there to get us by. His crossing/general delivery is absolutely rancid - he's not the only one though. Put it down alongside finishing as something we clearly do not practice in training.
  9. Also excludes him and Alf in the papers every five minutes when he's not playing whinging like fuck about it.

    Papiss Cissé

I was shocked at how many times he received the ball on the halfway line and failed to run to goal through five Spurs players with no support when that's exactly the sort of player he's meant to be.
  11. Hope the players told him what a reprehensible cunt he is.
  12. I really don't see why a manager down-playing his team's chances in a press conference means anything. That's the smart thing to do. You're supposed to publicly take the pressure off the players. It's one of the reasons why Mourinho is so good. What kind of f***ing mentalist goes to a press conference and says "aye, we'll win nee bother." Even when Premier League teams are playing against League One sides in the cups, the manager will generally do the usual, "anything can happen on the night," bit. It's just good sense. Yet when Pardew does it he's "demoralizing the team." It's ludicrous, for f***'s sake. I don't think anyone can be arsed to bite tonight, not even if Ian W turned up. Don't worry, Toon Pack will be on tomorrow to tell everyone how many 5-0 home defeats he remembers from the 70s and that we've never had it so good.
  13. I just pray to God that he waves at me.
  14. Just what I've been dying to go and watch in the pissing rain and freezing wind, some midfielders working hard for each other. Might just rock up with ten minutes left to watch Ben Arfa. Actually fuck that, Shola will be strutting his stuff by that point.
  15. Pardew must think most fans are thick to believe that bollocks He'd be right by the looks of it.

    Nile Ranger

Should have seen him man. This look on his face: http://www.voice-online.co.uk/sites/default/files/imagecache/455/Nile-Ranger-001.jpg Wearing a full grey tracksuit with his hand down the front of them.

Forgot he was on bail when I saw him yesterday in town, otherwise I'd have dobbed him in.
  18. Yet you've selected Haidara in midfield and Dan Gosling.
  19. Stoke out of Europe (qualifying via the cup final and not getting relegated btw): 46 points Stoke in Europe: 45 points Stoke out of Europe again: 42 points They'd have been better off warning him about the dangers of not qualifying, maybe he wouldn't be such a whinging little cunt. Disclaimer: he still would.

    Players in public

Nile Ranger on Northumberland Street wearing an all grey tracksuit, gurning and walking round with his hand down his pants.
  21. Joke's on Palace, they're having to pay him. In all seriousness though, it's insane that we didn't go for him even from a purely financial perspective.
  22. Christ, what utter drivel.

    Sunderland

Makes sense actually. One game ban with an extra for two reds.

    Sunderland

He's had a 3 game and a 1 game, with another rescinded. Should still be 4 games for 2 reds though I think.
