Probably wouldn't bother the sponsors so much if he wasn't the only player allowed to score a goal or enter the opposition penalty area.

Oh no it's not. A better comparison would be our players refusing to play on Sundays because it's their day of rest. Not really. It's all in there and the book makes no distinction between what is more necessary under God's Law than anything else. "I've done everything the Bible says Lord, even the stuff that contradicts the other stuff" - Ned Flanders

Makes me laugh so many people saying "he's picking and choosing what he wants from Islam" Err so? That's what religion is. The Christians on our team don't murder children that disrespect their parents (as far as I know) so they're picking and choosing what they want from the Bible too. I just hope it gets sorted out so that Cisse is happy to play for us. Any other result is unsatisfactory. I'll always back him ahead of our loyalty to a bunch of scumbags like Wonga.

Who is it that would even be attempting to do deals? The club is a rudderless ship.

It calms down for a couple of weeks and you start to forget how much you hate this cunt, then he opens his mouth again and it surges back up. Detestable old twat.

But we have been doing something wrong, and will probably continue to do so. If Gosling comes onto the pitch for a single second next season then we've fucked up selling Perch. You say he shouldn't be starting ahead of Tiote - Tiote will have to seriously up his game if he wants to get anywhere near Perch's level from last season, and that's not even a ringing endorsement of Perch.

Smacks of Aaron Hughes - when he was on his way for a pittance, plenty people said "no great loss" - three years down the line we'd been through a succession of comical defensive signings for huge money and seen us play domestically and in big European games with a back four including Huntington, Edgar and Ramage, meanwhile he was racking up appearances as the captain of a mid-table team. Perch is good enough for us simply by virtue of how many games he's played over the last twelve months.

Indeed. Purely on numbers, the finances are vastly worse than they were before he arrived. The difference is that we owe (hugely more) money to him rather than the banks, so we aren't going to be called on it. What some people don't seem able to grasp is that the financial success of football clubs isn't about a lack of debt, it's all about profit and turnover. Man United and Chelsea's debt dwarfs everything else in the league but the banks don't care because they generate vast profits through on-pitch (and subsequently off-pitch) success. As long as they can keep on paying it comfortably, the more debt the better as far as the banks are concerned because it generates more interest for them. The clubs that get the plug pulled aren't the behemoths with mountains of debt, it's the ones with piddly little amounts owed to HMRC who can't pay because they bring absolutely fuck all in. Boggles the fucking mind that some people think "financial success" as a football club is based on being on an even keel (even though we're not, but ignore that for a moment). Do these people live on the same planet as the rest of us? They want their football club to run like their own household finances.

An associate of the Kray family. Wants everyone to think he's Silvio Dante.

The club could quite easily have made Shearer's a success if they'd made any attempt whatsoever to do so. They just let it rot.

We're not Pompey. That's it. That's enough for people like him.

Just re: this point, he paid it off because he was forced to under the terms of the SJP mortgage agreement having not bothered doing due diligence (and as you say, is now cleaning it back out of the club coffers). Only a fucking cretin could argue that his incompetence is somehow evidence of his benevolence.

All comes down to this with tollemache at the end of the day: We all support a football team, he's here to support a balance sheet. You can't have a cogent footballing argument with someone like that.

Explored every possible revenue stream. He has vastly reduced our commercial revenue from the level Shepherd had it at (despite a colossal rise in overseas interest in the PL during the same period) and replaced 75% of the matchday advertising boards with free ads for his shitty company.

Cacapa powerful?? He was only about 5 foot 8 and couldn't bully anyone. EDIT: bit taller than that according to Google but point stands.

Complete crisis point now. Dear Lord.

When do the first Sky changes get announced?

Boycotts had a huge hand in forcing McKeag out in favour of John Hall. Implying that it's simply a matter of people taking the huff is pathetic.

But is Pardew's contract set up like Keegan's was, whereby if he walks, he owes them a massive sum? Pardew should really be on the phone to KK right now, asking for the number of his lawyer.
