Like he had a choice with Demba, man. Demba Ba is by a mile the most proven goalscorer in the squad. And he'd demonstrated excellent suitability to English football. I never said he wasn't, he's absolute quality. So's Ben Arfa though and he won't show it if he's used fleetingly and only against the best three teams in the country.

Short memories on here like. Including pre-season, Demba Ba looked absolutely fucking hopeless for about ten games, before and after Ramadan, thankfully the manager didn't show the same lack of patience with him as he seems to be here or we'd be really screwed.
  3. It was a very easy through ball tbh, into about seventy yards of space.
  4. With Gosling and Marveaux, we're seeing the folly of buying players simply because they're injured and therefore cheap. One has missed a massive amount of time during a key stage in a footballer's development and subsequently looks very poor and the other just cannot get over the same recurring injury. You can't build a squad on the cheap by buying injured players.

Why are you judging a player on just Chelsea? Why not the run that forced Ferdinand to go to ground or the pass for Ba at City, or when he hit the post? Or the Everton game or the various French caps and league titles? Like I say I think Sammy's a real talent but I think saying that he offers more than Ben Arfa's just an unbelievable statement.

I like Sammy but that's just a mind-bogglingly ridiculous thing to say.
  7. Can we have Routledge back please?
  8. Beyond me why anyone would think of partaking in a football conversation with "Christmas Tree". What's the point? Might as well have one with a toddler.

    James Perch

Ah of course, the third was Gosling's divine through ball.

The foul for the third goal man, honestly.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Haddaway man you don't leave out a player like him because you're worrying about Norwich. Obertan gives less protection than Laurent Robert did but with the added bonus of having zero talent.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He'll be gone as soon as he gets the chance and I don't blame him. Norwich give away penalties for fun when players run at them and we left this bloke out completely, I mean Christ almighty.
  13. Ben Arfa and Best sat on their arse and Alan Smith on the field ffs. That was an absolute fucking shambles to be perfectly honest.
  14. If there's one thing I categorically agree with Liverpool supporters on, it's Kelvin Mackenzie, thoroughly odious twat.
  15. Not making any case for anybody, just stating the facts. Ryan Taylor is a better all round player than Enrique that's for sure. Possibly the most mental thing ever posted on the internet.
  16. Re: Cahill, I can see why it was given because even though it's not a "clear goalscoring opportunity", it is an extremely promising break for Spurs and even though Knight's covering, Parker has a fairly simple pass to the forward in the middle who is free - clear it's not but I'd expect Spurs to at least create a decent chance from that position. Giving a free kick and the same punishment that you would get for taking your shirt off or, as Cabaye and Ben Arfa did last week, bouncing a ball or shouting at Wayne Rooney, seems like it doesn't really fit. If it had been us, I think I'd have shouted red. Honestly think the disciplinary system needs looking at, the FA have introduced yellow cards for so many minor offences and made so many fouls card-worthy that the yellow has become too wide ranging. I think the FA should think about introducing the sin-bin. Taking your shirt off = yellow and Cahill = yellow and 20 minutes in the sin bin.

    Sunderland...

So glad we didn't sign Larsson, proper match for that club, arsehole.

    St James' Park

As I said before, they don't refer to West Ham's ground by its "official" name. I'm absolutely ashamed of the BBC for calling it what they are tbh, fucking cunts.
  19. Spurs are absolutely frightening on the break.
