I'm a football supporter. I don't get any pleasure or interest whatsoever out of someone else's bank account. Football players aren't bought with pixie dust and dreams, you kna? No, they're bought with the money we got for Bassong, Milner, N'Zogbia, Given, Martins, Duff, Beye and years of season ticket money without a mortgage. Why is Carroll the only player whose transfer fee we're allowed to spend?

Hall would have rejected the Cole bid if KK had wanted him to. Woodgate was and is finished and Shepherd knew it. Pair of ridiculous comparisons.

He's living in a fantasy world. Living in a fantasy world for wanting Newcastle to keep a good player. This place gets more ridiculous every day.

I'm thoroughly confused. They could have offered the full 50, I'd still have told them to fuck off.
-
Not content with watching every Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1 game, the N-O experts moved their attention to the Belgian Jupiler League.
-
In central midfield, I still do.

You must know that makes no sense. Eh, how's that like? If it's too good to turn down, surely it's also too much to pay? If you offered Liverpool their money back, they'd f***ing turn it down quick enough. But we're two different clubs in two different situations. We have an owner who wants to run the club self-sufficiently, and they had just received £50m for Torres. Nail on head. Transfer wouldn't have happened if they'd not just received that. Nail on head. What is your point exactly? How is that a defence of the sale?

So it's not too much to turn down at all - it's too much to turn down if you have no ambition. That's a pretty big difference imo.

Danny Guthrie who slotted in against Spurs, sunderland and Wolves and did perfectly well? Not for my money it's not. Villa would probably take the swap if you offered it tbh.

That basically puts Ireland in the centre of a 4 man midfield which would be suicide. Alan Smith looked like Vieira against him earlier in the season, it was embarrassing. Personally I wouldn't touch him with a shitty stick.
-
How? A five-man midfield with Barton on the right and Ireland in advanced CM. With HBA off the striker. Anyway, as we've proved in the last few weeks we definitely need more depth in the squad! A five man midfield with two strikers? And three at the back? Hell's bells.

If we buy a Dzeko or a Balotelli type we are fucked.
-
Exactly Jonny we don't know. We do know how good he is though. So we're gambling. Fucking utter insanity.
-
Relative peanuts obviously. A new signing of Carroll's calibre, you're looking at 80k a week minimum.
-
No way in the world Carroll will get less goals than Suarez and he is also phenomenal at bringing others into play. As the perfect Premier League striker, Carroll is it imo, or at least will be two years down the line.
-
Surely it's only a mental amount of money if he's not worth that? For me, he is so there's no way it was 'too good to turn down' when we've now got to find someone as good as him who is willing to accept peanuts.
-
If it's such a fantastic sum to have in the bank rather than a player of the same worth, why the fuck did Liverpool buy him? Why do clubs pay that money for anyone if it's always better to have the money. He's worth every penny imo.
-
Nolan's even more perfect if it's Liverpool you're intending on selling your best players to, even better at convincing players to sign for them than Dalglish is.
-
More money than we ever dreamt of? No football dream I've ever had involved money, believe me. I don't get excited by signings, by bargains, by low wages or good fees. All I could give a fuck about is Newcastle winning on any given day.
-
Making out that Enrique is motivated by money is incredibly disrespectful.

I've heard it all before though mate. It's always the same... judge in summer... s***, well judge in January... s***, well the summer is the time to judge etc etc. There's a point where you have to say enough is enough, and I'm a long way past that point. Seeing as we're 9th, we should be demanding more than top 7. Suspect we'd be there anyway if we'd kept AC9. We were 12th when Pardew replaced your mate. Grow up man. Your points just don't quite add up, man. As much as I agree with a few of them. God forbid I should be fond of someone employed by NUFC and be disappointed to see him leave because I thought he was doing a good job and progressing the team in the way that I felt was right. People (not necessarily yourself) complain there's not enough sentimentality in football anymore but they're queuing up to have a go if a fellow supporter is gutted about something.
-
Absolutely f***ing clueless, get a grip of yourself man. Sorry. Not seen enough quality from him to justify the hype. I agree with you. But you're not allowed to say that cos there's loads on here desperate to look superior at having watched a couple of Serie A games so you deserve all the abuse you're getting and you'll bloody well like it sunshine.
