There's a curious irony on here at the moment where the people who aren't happy about the running of the club are the ones painted as being happy when we lose... how the fuck does that work then? I'm pig sick of shite like today being churned out fwiw. I don't accuse you of not celebrating when Lovenkrands scores or being happy when he misses a sitter because it's a fucking nonsense argument and I know you support NUFC so I can't imagine what makes you think I'm happy at this chancer's team churning out one insipid performance after another.

Why would they say yes to Ireland but no to any one of Sturridge, Vela, Keane or any other number of strikers on loan instead? Perhaps because Villa agreed that we'd only pay wages when he was fit? So we knew he would be injured and that was the reason we signed him? When I said that at the time, everyone on here said I was mental. Makes the manager worse than scum imo, willingly deceiving the supporters. ????

Nice get out clause for him in the summer when he signs a right load of old shite as his record suggests he will.

Whichever media it is in - printed press, television, radio, Twitter, take your pick - one thing is consistent, and that is that Piers Morgan is an oily, talentless, repulsive waste of fucking skin. It annoys me that he has built himself up into something nearing a respectable journalist. I had no problem with him being rich or successful, there's plenty of arseholes have done that, but to see him nowadays liked and respected by such a wide audience makes me absolutely despair with humanity.

They've not been top five all season until four hours ago and they took a comprehensive arse-kicking up here in December from an NUFC with Sol Campbell playing at centre half. They have more quality because they took the bull by the horns in January, used the window sensibly and will now play in Europe next season in all likelihood. From a level playing field, we have collapsed. Perpetuating the idea that "we can't compete" is nauseatingly pathetic. There was no reason that we couldn't do what they have. Spend £20M on a striker, your living on another planet to think we could of done that in January before the Carroll transfer. We already had the top class striker we needed, you halfwit.

I like the idea of KK as Dalglish's nemesis. At one point the commentator and Burley discussed what effect Dalglish has had at Liverpool "other than his natural character and personality." The man's got the natural character of a doorframe, there's not a more dour person in football.

Surely he's only "biased" because he knows more about the situation than any of us, in which case it's not bias?

Do you honestly think that if Enrique hadn't had his head turned the club would force him out? Enrique wants to leave, all the club can now do is maximise the amount we get for him, and replace him properly. Does it not worry you, the amount of players who seem to want to leave Newcastle? Should the club not be doing something like... making them want to stay by showing ambition? It does, but it is not surprising. In an ideal world Carroll would have stayed, and Barton and Enrique would have signed new contracts, along with Tiote. We're a newly promoted club, who seem to be just coming back from the brink of financial catastrophe. In that context, what is showing ambition? I don't think anyone can argue that the club seem to be focused now on cementing top ten finishes over the next couple of years, and I don't think anyone sensibly doubts that we will be in the top 8 spending wise this summer. The Carroll deal seems to have clouded things, and it is difficult to say if we are showing ambition or not because of that. If it wasn't for that one deal, which was ridiculous money for Carroll, then I'm not sure there is any evidence of the club showing a lack of ambition. Ben Arfa has been signed permanently, Tiote has a 6 year deal. I realise I'm falling into the "see what happens in the summer" camp, but the Carroll situation was unique really, so we do have to see what happens with replacements for Carroll (and perhaps Enrique) to see what sort of club we have to look forward to for the next 5 years. Financial catastrophe? Where on Earth do you get such a statement from? I don't think it was ridiculous money for Carroll, so we'll have to agree to differ on that one.

Funny how Liverpool can afford it with a debt that dwarfs ours and a stadium which seats 7k less people.

Absolutely insane that Chelsea are still in with a good shout of the league. Arsenal would have had it wrapped up if they had any bottle whatsoever.
-
Pity it was our first team other than a bloke who's been injured for nearly the entire season and Leon Best.

One thing I can't stand from commentators is the light-hearted attitude towards "oh look, the players are on the beach already, ho ho ho", no doubt because that's what they all did when they were playing. Clubs should put the prices down for the last five games if it's alright for the players to go out half arsed and thinking about their holidays (though that's fair enough seeing as their day to day life is a right hardship).

Is it standard practice for them not to have sent a letter out acknowledging receipt of my renewal?

Four totally abject away performances in a row. One goal scored, nine conceded, with a nigh on full strength squad.

Agreed. Me too, and it's sad that there's a fair old chunk of our support who are very critical of KK. I wonder if it's the same at Liverpool, I doubt it. As an NUFC fan I find it impossible to understand those who dislike KK, absolute madness, he's provided by far and away, and it pains me to say it, the best football I'm likely to ever experience as a Newcastle fan. Unfortunately I wasn't about for his playing days but pa raves about that promotion season too. Legend.

Aye I thought that, even getting the free kick was pushing it although I know there's time on for the goal.

Hate Liverpool but might have done us a slight favour for Tuesday so it's all good. Arsenal have no bottle whatsoever, how fucking difficult is it to hold a lead for thirty seconds?
