There's some copper given some daft interview in the Sun saying he would have locked Rooney up for such a vile sickening 'rant'. He goes on to say that his officers will face 'more Rooneys' over the weekend - 'no doubt someone will be injured. One of my officers will have to tell a parent that their son or daughter is in hospital' If I was Rooney I'd have my lawyers all over that sort of shite.
-
We're introducing a swearing ban here on Newcastle Online soon, so you'll all have to play the same game as Rooney shortly.

Used to love the beam backs at the old odeon. Never seen my grandad so happy as when he realised i'd caught the bug after he took me to see us hammer Swindon 7-1.

I suspect Gateshead have their fixtures arranged round ours for that very reason so they don't play at home when we do.
-
But will they go to Gateshead if they can stay in and watch Newcastle play away?
-
Forgot about teletext, years of arguing with my dad cos i'd be putting 304 on every five seconds while he's watching something.
-
Aye and before sky sports news and bbc live text you had to wait for the pink to find out the other scores.

3pm kick offs aren't shown mainly because of the effect on attendances throughout the league, especially in sunderland. Probably right tbf but it's a right pain in the arse having to resort to the radio away from home.

Will it not be down to sixth? Your point stands regardless.
-
The bottom 3 have 21 points to play for so 53 is the highly unlikely maximum we'd need. They all play each other so it wouldn't really be that high anyway.

He's now scored and/or set up goals against West Ham, Birmingham and Wolves (and Wigan, since you mention them). I'd say that counts as useful. And it's now three home games since the turn of the year where Guthrie has filled in for Tiote and he's played his part in all of them.
-
At home in particular, he's very useful against sides in the bottom six. Ditto Guthrie.

Tremendous performance and result.

That's always seemed the most likely to me. So? The bloke is 22. Nobody forced the millionaire Andy Carroll into a helicopter did they? It's greed. Pure and simple. You seem to be more of a negative, blinkered pleb than ever. Millionaire after a year in the Championship on his youth team wages? Aye okie doke.

Disagree. CH had the benefit of being in charge in the early days of the season, before the tough match program started to take its toll. Under CH everybody was fresh and ready to go. He had plenty of players to choose from. As the season develops, injuries and fatigue increased. Accordingly, Pardew doesn't have the same luxury as CH did. He got plenty of injuries, and unlike CH he has just s*** replacements. And that also puts and extra pressure on the the remaining quality players. In other words, our current injury situation got nothing to do with CH og Pardew, but more with our squad lacking depth. We're not able to rotate, and that hurts. We played 46+ games in the Championship, all under Hughton. And our squad was still looking alright come the end of the season. TBF though, the Championship was a stroll compared to the Premier League. With a lot more games.
