Surprised his mam let him to stay up to watch it, the fucking little freak. Right wing grifting is the easiest money spinner in the world if you have no morals and little Darren is still too thick to make anything off it.

Just watched Rashford's pen from the Colombia shootout and I'm so annoyed with him. A relatively normal run-up and belts it into the side netting. Did the same in the Villarreal shootout two months ago. Don't understand why he was trying to roll it in, that's not how he normally takes penalties. Another thing from that Man United shootout, Telles and Mata came on in the final seconds to take pens, went up first and second and scored easily. Don't know why everyone's going on like that's not a perfectly normal sight before a shootout.

Christ I feel absolutely grim this morning. Hollowed out. Hate that feeling when you wake up and remember you've lost a big game. Can't imagine how the players feel today.
-
I thought this was very obviously the plan when the teams were announced. I actually didn't even celebrate the goal that much, even in the moment it felt like a bad omen, Croatia all over again.

Michael Cox has been saying for years that he thinks cynical challenges with no attempt for the ball should be reds, no matter where they are on the field.
-
It was famously a big issue around the France 98 squad.

Henderson has taken 2 pens for England, 1 in a shootout, and they've both been atrocious. He was right to take him out of the possible takers imo. I've not seen Sancho take but I was surprised not to see DCL come on to take one.
-
God I'm sick as fuck. Didn't even watch the pens after Rashford missed, writing was on the wall, had to go in the garden.

Maguire to score, Verratti card 42/1

Foden not even on the bench.

If I posted as a fan on a (e.g.) Red Star Belgrade forum for over a decade, then Serbia made their way to their first major tournament final, I'd probably be quite pleased for them, rather than head straight on to post relentlessly about how much I wanted them to lose and what arrogant paranoid cheats they are. We're obviously different people.
-
It's not offensive is it, it's just a bit of an arsehole thing to do? If you make your way onto a Fiorentina forum today with an English flag waving and spend two days posting about what a bunch of undeserving cheats they are, they'll certainly tell you to sod off as well.
-
Bit ridiculous of accusing him of being anti-English. I'm sure Pata changed his avatar to an Italian flag within the last 24 hours for entirely unrelated reasons. Maybe had a cracking carbonara last night.

Yes the Premier League was definitely the crucial point there, despite the fact Serie A and La Liga both had about 20 more penalties awarded last season. Face it, that's given as a penalty by most European top flight referees in 2021. Sorry like.
-
There'll be a softer penalty than that given within the first 2 PL weekends. Feel free to quote me on that.
-
It's a bog standard soft penalty that's given about 50% of the time in the PL without anyone batting an eyelid.

Christ what an irritating man.

xG was 3.27 vs 0.30

I haven't seen enough appreciation for Kane's ball through for Saka before the first goal. One of the best passes of the tournament.

The Irish are in agreement that it was a penalty all day long.
