Well. Honestly never thought our lads had that performance in them at the moment but they proved me wrong and then some. First half was fairly even but second looked like fifth vs bottom except the other way round. Martins and Ameobi dominated their centre halves, our pace scared them a lot more than theirs did to us (they shat themselves when Oba and Jonas got the ball), Coloccini was fucking immense, Taylor also solid, I really couldn't fault any of our lads. A top quality showing.

I really don't think a team in 20th place with over a quarter of the season gone who don't have a real manager or any money can dismiss relegation talk as being 'mental'. true but at the same time a win tomorrow would lift us up a few places and our first 15 is as good as most out there. Trouble is I think they'll cane us and the longer we're down there, the harder it is to get out of it.

Not as a regular though. He was raw in his first full season when we finished 4th, but Elliott & Distin played the majority of that season at left-back. Aye, he was mainly used as an attacking sub in that season - he scored an absolute rocket at Blackburn to bring him onto the scene, scored against Boro on Boxing Day and in the 6-2 against Everton as well. When Distin fucked off, he was first choice LB from that moment on. As TT says, it's fucking amazing what happened to him.
