I expect Boro to do quite well this season btw, said that the other day. He's put together a decent side with good depth there.

Boro have signed Mackem Hoyte.

Not really the type of player we need is the problem. Small pacey strikers aren't something we're short on.
-
Given/Harps (not really arsed), Beye, Colo, Taylor, Enrique, Jonas, Charlie, Guthrie, Butt, Milner, Martins. Let's have them.
-
We've been robbed there like.

We played 'If The Kids Are United' last season. Doesn't bring anything to the party for me. I'm delighted it's back.
-
I'll be very disappointed to see him leave, not least because Taylor's going to be getting a game when one of our major priorities this summer should have been to find someone better than him, but if Faye wants away then best we let him go. Good luck to him, I obviously rate him more than most.

Significant upgrade based on what evidence? And in his most important international, the Euro 2008 semis, he might as well have not been on the pitch. Funny how everybody on here seems to be convinced that Colo is a significant upgrade on our current centre backs when the same reasoning applies.. I have no doubt about Arhsavin, he is a class act and will do well at Spurs. Wish we went in for him when we seemingly had the chance. Yeah Russian league is just as good as Spanish And Taylor's of the same standard as Keane of course.

Significant upgrade based on what evidence? And in his most important international, the Euro 2008 semis, he might as well have not been on the pitch. Based on all the Euro games with the exception of the semi-final and the fact that Keane disappeared in as many matches that he starred in. Keane is talented but if he starts armwaving in the first 10 minutes, the manager might as well substitute him there and then because he won't do anything of any note. The CL match against the Belgians was a good example of that. Only played in two didn't he? I think he'll probably do well but it's by no means certain. If he's going to play as a striker, his Zenit goal record's not up to much.

That Bridge thing's done the rounds before, there's other players on it as well depending on the numbers in the web address. Nowt exciting, which is good since Bridge is shite.

Yeah, I'm still not convinced by this story. He could surely do better than Stoke, and I can't see why he'd be training with them before he's signed. He's not a player that would need a trial. I'm a bit baffled by some of the comments on here. I thought that Faye was not only our best defender, but a long way ahead of whoever you'd nominate as number two. Beye was a real asset in supporting the attack and was a very good buy, but he could be vulnerable from the defensive point of view. I think Beye's an excellent defender but other than that I agree with you. Faye's rep seemed to plummet because of one rick against Birmingham.
-
Faye's dominance was made clearer than ever at West Ham. Ashton and Zamora absolutely bossed Taylor and Edgar. Saying "we're replacing him with Coloccini" is all well and good but we should be replacing our weaker players, not our best ones.
-
Quiz them continually in between meals tbh.
-
Who said Milner's going to Villa like?
-
I don't think he's great, just a bit better than Taylor. If we are replacing him with a better player who we don't know about yet then fine, otherwise £2m is pointless. this. timings wierd though huh? right before the first game of the season when it's gonna be borderline impossible (given the pace we've progressed other transfers) to get someone in time to play sunday He's injured?
