He might well want to leave, remember he was upset at only being first choice centre half last season. Stoke ffs, aye i bet he's desperate to live in the arsehole of the uk. 2m as well? Treble it and i might start to think about not laughing you out of the building.

Great point re: Coloccini there Midds.

then don't tell me the guy is an nufc player then, if you're not certain Honestly? You'd rather he hadn't played any of the pre-season or anything, because there's still a couple of ts need crossing? We've clearly got him, and if there is a delay over clearance to play (still only an if) it's just Mallorca being buggars and complaining they wanted more money for him. so despite knowing nothing and admitting the webster ruling is a grey area you're perfectly confident all is well then? wierd and as i said earlier if the club knew he couldn't play they should have used pre-season for players they know can, outlandish opinion i know And then his clearance comes through tomorrow and he still can't play because he's not fit? Fuck me.

I do think the club's gone too far the other way though. Look at Guthrie - it was even on the website when we agreed a fee, now Coloccini can sit in the stands and we get no acknowledgement. That would have been ok had the deal been wrapped up and announced over the weekend or Monday but we're now nearly into Thursday, we've still not heard about Bassong either, it's inconsistent. Have a policy and stick to it. I'm all for a total press blackout but a comment on the website is not too much to ask.

Maybe him missing a couple of games is what we have to cope with if we're going to use a very new and unclear rule to get him. It's not perfect but it's better than having to bid £8m, Portsmouth (who wanted him) hearing about it, "look, it's hot down here" and whoops he's signed for Harry. I'd have taken Modric missing a couple of hypothetical games if we'd got him and got him for next to nothing rather than the Dinamo brothers piping up and whoops he's signed for Juande. Pretty sure the club don't want this situation anymore than anyone else. Lack of communication with fans in relation to it, I agree that's not good, but I have no reason to think that the club aren't doing everything they can to sort it. Me? I reckon he'll play.

Same old tiresome rubbish.

Random request: who've Grimsby got?
-
Boro v Yeovil Hartlepool v WBA Cheers.
-
Who have Boro and Hartlepool got please?

Agree with that. They should have at least said something about Coloccini by now, even if it was just that the fee had been agreed or whatever. They obviously remain confident of sorting the Jonas registration thing but I don't see it happening this late on. I think the biggest mistake is the Ashley + Coloccini shirt stupidity. Why wear that and then four days later, still not inform the fans about whats going on? I agree with that.

Derdiyok starts for Basle tonight in the Champions League. Weren't some heed-the-balls claiming he was ready and waiting to sign for us? And weren't some bigger heed-the-balls buying it?

howay man surely you can see there's a question to ask here wullie? how isn't the jonas thing dragging on if his papers aren't sorted after this amount of time? unless i've misread what everyones saying about his chances of playing in which case i apologise if i've not misread it what's the crack like? we play him in pre-season games and appears to be our major ray of hope yet he can't play for us when we actually really need him? alls well then? We don't know anything about the circumstances though. If Mallorca are taking the piss, I'm sure the club aren't sitting on their hands not doing anything about it. Again we come back to only thinking something is happening when it's in the paper.

We don't know anything about the club's "performance" with Coloccini and Jonas. Canny ironic that you cite Jonas as 'dragging on' when the first mention of it was on the website that he'd signed.

Thanks for that.

The fact that you spent time typing that out makes me want to weep for mankind.

You'd think people would have learned by now what "major announcement" means when Sky Sports News say it.
