  1. Can't hurt to venture some qualified thoughts - you weren't over the moon, I take it. I was pretty happy with him, myself. Barely put a foot wrong but I'm feeling a little uneasy about the hype of our new players on very little evidence (other than Coloccini who I think is proven class), simply because when they underperform slightly or make one rick, that then gets pushed to the other extreme and they're shit/not adapting/not developing/whatever.
  2. ITV's Carling Cup coverage gets worse. They didn't even show all the goals. This mob have got the FA Cup rights ffs.
  3. Some tremendous shit stirring going on in tomorrow's rags, the first reads like a list of 'NUFC in 2008' press cliches: http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/58600/Keegan-and-Ashley-set-for-showdown http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/keegan-faces-key-meeting-with-ashley-909533.html

    Jose Enrique

What's "someone like Enrique"? A good defender as opposed to a shit one?
  5. “Juande Ramos, I have not yet met.” CRISIS AT SPURS AS RAMOS WARS WITH WISE WHOEVER THEIR EQUIVALENT TO WISE IS THAT WE DON'T MENTION BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO STIR IT WITH GLORIOUS TOTTENHAM
  6. I like Beye, but he just didn't do enough of the running tonight. Are you going to stop talking shite at any point soon? He's been doing it for about five years, I wouldn't hold your breath.
  7. The Milner stuff on here is getting REALLY dull.
  8. We're gonna need a new right back before Monday I think. Any suggestions?
  9. Thank fuck for that. Played very well tonight but fair play to Coventry, they made it a brilliant cup tie. With Oba, Owen or Viduka on the pitch in the first half the game would have been long gone.
  10. Fuck me. Carling Cup second round and my nerves are shot to bits.
  11. We've not won the match yet.
  12. What a fucking pisser to concede like that after the most one-sided first half I've seen for ages. With a striker we'd have been out of sight.
  13. Oliver peddling a story about Stephane Mbia in the Chronicle.
  14. Not even the end of August and we're already in a striker crisis. We definitely need one before the window shuts.
  15. What do you reckon our chances are next week, SG? Will we face a backlash or will you be poor again?
  16. Said pretty much the same thing here. They should do what they do on planes when they're not full - offer upgrades to some of the plebs in economy. If anything it'll take the pressure of the staff in the concourse. In previous seasons, there has always been a steward stopping the commoners from getting into the bar area but there wasn't one there on Saturday. Seemed like an invite to go in and make the place look a bit busier.
