Mackems Advocaat sacked on Monday?

West Ham.

Thought we defended superbly, after a dodgy start. Once we got a bit tighter and denied them space, it looked a lot better. Both DC's were excellent, Mbemba grew into the game and Mitrovic did really well up front (he's a big lad for 20 ) Really happy with the draw and performance. Man United can fuck off.

Thought the kid put in a real shift today. It's nice to see as centre-forward with real physical presence - something we've missed since Shearer and Carroll.

Mitrovic and Perez Obertan. Captain Fistpump to do something stupid today - nailed on. -
Looked well today, I thought.
-
Best wishes to him. He never had a fair go under Pardew.

We've signed troublesome left wingers before..... remember Robert? He hit the ground running and was a terrific talent , if frustrating at times. Much is going to depend on how the lad's head is - hopefully it will be in the right place here, because if he turns into the player he could be - he'll be a star. It's a gamble no doubt, but one worth taking.

Well done Arma. Keep it up, lad.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this ref has been shocking.

I thought things were bad for this lot, but didn't realize it was as quite as bad! They are in big trouble. This is what happens when you get non-football people owning a club. We know all about that!

David Kelly v Portsmouth in 1992. Will forever live in the memory. Also - Bellamy v Feyenoord and Albert's chip v Man United. Watched that one at Northumbria Uni SU and the place just went mental.

Again - makes you wonder if this is why Cabella hasn't been seen for a few weeks. His 'injury' is keeping him safe for a potential transfer to go through. They did the same with Cabaye and Santon.
-
As if you needed to ask. Indeed. As for someone mentioning Shaqiri (sp?) He would clearly only want to sign for a club with ambition. Him coming here was never going to happen. The likes of Mitrovic. Winaldjum (sp) and Mbemba will have been promised moves in a couple of years, if they do well. Thauvin will be the same.

Cabella has never really had a run in the side, to see what he can do. Perhaps he hasn't settled, but I fail to see the logic in signing one unsettled Frenchman, for another. Or is it another case of a gamble on damaged goods as they did with Ben Arfa? And as others have said - we have more pressing needs in other areas of the pitch.

That's nearly as bad as when Sky wheeled out Souness for one of our games, a week or so after he'd been sacked by Shepherd.

Was worrying that we played for 25mins today with no striker. Seemed to be more about damage limitation, rather than trying to get back into the game. Also once again, a lack of creativity and chances.
