  1. Cabella with a good run and shot - deflection off Terry for a corner. Sounds like we are bossing it, ATM.
  2. Sounds like we've started well, apart from the usual poor set-pieces.
  3. Cabella to get blamed and dropped by Carver, when the inevitable hammering comes.
  4. Yup - don't know much about him, but it seems he would be an excellent appointment going off what he did at Lyon.
  5. Gordon Taylor in being a cunt,. shocker. The man's a ringpiece.
  6. Ched Evans now saying that he called the deal off, not Oldham. 'I have withdraw from talks with Oldham Athletic. I would like to thank the club, and those who have supported me in my lawful quest to find work.' Says he did so because of the 'mob rule' tactics employed by society, and that the constant media reporting had the desired influence on some sponsors and that the club would face significant financial pressure if he joined them. Does seem to be something of a PR campaign on his part to turn the tide (as it were) Judging by his last comments - no genuine remorse there, as he comes over as feeling very hard done to. Prick.
  7. Charming! Family first, bonny lad!
  8. It's the only local football phone-in there is and it can be good. They asked me to go into the studio tomorrow morning at 715am (to talk about Pardew), but I can't as I've got to take the bairn to school. I'll try and get on tomorrow night, or after the game on Saturday.
  9. Steve Howey championing Carver on Total Sport.
  10. Pardew been on Radio Newcastle, tonight - interview at part of Total Sport. Said that both he and Ashley felt it was the right time to go - Ashley brought him in as manager, down to the job he did at West Ham. Feels that the local press got on his case too much and some of the stuff like 'P45DUE' was really unfair.
  11. Ashley will have something to do with the chairman stepping down.
  12. Well, well, well...... Classic Mike Ashley?
  13. That's what I'm thinking. £40million per season and he's paid back in 3 years. I can't see him leaving any profits to be taxed.
  14. Southampton are level now - Morgan S (the French one!)
  15. Can see a fair few empty seats, as per.
  16. 5Live getting a proper hard on, about Man United.
  17. Blyth v Birmingham should have been on TV, live. But it's all about ratings. Odd bit of trivia for you's, but the last time that Man United didn't have an FA Cup tie televised, was a a replay at home to Exeter, back in 2005. Tells you all you need to know.
  18. Some heed the ball has probably considered it. Probably, but even Northumbria Police said at the time, they had no record of such a threat being made.
  19. Mike Ashley death threat?! Another manufactured lie by the club.
  20. That's what really gets me. A football team and its owner should in principle have the same incentives as the fans. Those should be basic fundamentals but have somehow gotten skewed. How on earth can an owner get away with changing the name of a traditional club to 'Tigers' ffs or changing a team's colour from blue to red? Owners should be absolutely terrified of decisions like this. You have to wonder why it isn't in the best interest of Mike Ashley to provide entertaining football and/or strive for success. It's because PL clubs have become the play-things of very rich men, who act on a whim. The government should force through the german model, where no-one person has overall control. However, money and power talk.
