It'll go right to the wire, and it will be the team that suffer ultimately. -

Those who are calling Cabaye shite are off their nut. I concur that this is the man the team should be built around for the next 3-4 years, but it ain't gonna happen. Ashley will seek to cash in sooner, rather than later. He has had some poor spells, but on the whole - he is quality player. That will be borne out in the rest of the season and the World Cup. -
Kinnear's role is for misinformation and to take some of the flak for Ashley. Those with season tickets need to be asking what they are getting out if it, when renewal time is due. Ashley wants the tv money, with minimal investment.

There will be no-one signed, but maybe's no-one sold unless PSG make a daft offer for Cabaye (and he decides to go) Then on Feb 1st, we'll get Pardew saying that it's been a good window because 'we've kept our better players'. Then when the club accounts are due, it will be dressed up by the club akin to a cup win (assuming we are in profit again) Two transfer windows gone and no permanent signings. Just where is all of the money going?

Here's Collymore's tweets from last night, before he pulled his account; http://m.thedrum.com/news/2014/01/23/stan-collymore-tweets-accused-ulrika-lying-and-stitch-he-pulled-twitter-account I used to like Ulrika (mainly down to Shooting Stars) but this just seems like a cash-in on her part. Poor show.

True Geordie going off on one, on FB tonight. Can understand his rant, but it just across as bitter as fuck - meat and drink for the mackems.
-
Handbags are out I see. Can tell it's been a bad night for some.
-
Our managers not going to be up for it which will show during the game like it has during every derby in his tenure here. 1 fucking win against them since he took charge. Yup - comes over a bit like Gullit when it comes to them down the road, despite the guff.
-
The Sun out-does itself again; Fucking awful paper.
-
Derby is gonna be a tough day - they've had a massive confidence boost tonight, but perhaps there league form might suffer (as it did with Wigan) Our lot better be up for it - another defeat wont wash.
-
I think the fans and the media will force him out - a clamour for Ferguson to return and save the day. Just watch.
-
Worst Man United team I've seen in a generation. Moyes in real trouble.
-
Fully deserved tonight - has to be said. Worst Man United team I've seen in a generation - Moyes is in real trouble. Course we are gonna see a huge stampede from Mackemland for tickets for the final. I hope the 25000 that were there for the semi get theirs because everyone and their dog who is red and white is gonna want one!
-
A few mackems calls on Radio Newcastle tonight, wanting us Mags to back them against the Mancs. I'm not sure they would be doing the same thing if it were us in their place!
-
Nope. Gotta win the Cup to get into the Europa League.
-
I've seen 9000 mentioned. If true, that's canny for a mid-week away game. Pity it's only a 3rd of what was there for the home leg! As I said that, imagine the stampede for tickets if they do make the final. There will be hell on, and lots of mackems complaining when they don't get one!
-
How many are they supposed to be taking tomorrow?
-
Carroll subbed.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Was always going to happen if someone put major cash on the table. Mike Ashley and Kinnear rubbing their hands as we speak. Just hope this Cabella lad is lined up straightaway to replace him. -
3-0 Spurs. Adebayor with his 2nd.

Yes, I know all this BG, but unlike you, I have my doubts as to whether Cabaye will still be here in February....if he is, fair enough, we need him but the main issue is, as you say, that Ashley lacks any ambition for the club and this means more mediocrity for the fans. I have to disagree about Cabaye not getting a regular place at one of the top clubs...if he went to Man U I reckon he would be in every week unless he lost form and with the competition and expectancy top clubs have of their players, there would be more pressure on him to maintain a standard of performance necessary to keep being selected. He clearly now views us as a stepping stone but I don't believe he came with that intention or he wouldn't have tried to persuade Debuchy to come as well ; he thought we might be a big club going places but he knows better now...!! I reckon it'll take the thick end of £20-25million for Ashley to sell Cabaye. It depends if the likes of Man United and PSG are willing to spend so much, this window. However, I see Pardew has already started the peddling of Cabaye, on Sky by talking him up and admitting that these windows are always 'nervous' in case any of the bigger fish come in.

Merlin - I'd love to keep Cabaye and have a good go at the top 4, but it's not gonna happen under Ashley. The lad is all set up to have a great 2nd half of the season, ahead of the World Cup. If he wants to move on in the summer, then we are gonna have to let him go. It's not a lack of ambition on the part of the fans - it's more the owner. What Cabaye is guaranteed here is a start week in, week out. I'm not sure he would get that at Arsenal or PSG, but then again - he probably wants to win things and play in the CL.
