Went to North Shields v bishop Auckland. A good game, but it felt very much men against boys. Shields had a wee lad playing 10 that would have been lucky if he was 16 - other young lads too, BA won 2-0.

Let’s just hope the rest of the season doesn’t fall apart now.

Had more energy since subs came on, but a lack of quality. Citeh just too good (almost untouchable)

We’ve been disappointing in standing off; but it is man citeh we are playing. They are simply streets ahead and probably will be for the forseeable whilst FFP restricts us.

North Shields won 2-0 at Tow Law, on Tuesday night. Saturday - at home to top of the pile, Bishop Auckland.

An ACL injury is a real blow for him and us - assuming it's true. The injury curse on this season continues.

As much as Eddie has earned himself lots of extra credit, I can't see PIF hanging about in the summer if they feel a change is necessary.

Not been the same player, since he came back from injury. Again - was he brought back only half fit? I like the lad - but he's been pish recently.

Some of the local hacks reckon he hasn't really recovered from the injury he was out so long with, last year. Has Howe and the medical team brought him back too early?

Eddie said 'he wasn't sure about Gordon' when asked. A 'problem with the knee' apparently. Got to hope it's just a wee knock, but knowing our luck - Gordon's season will be done.

The season is in danger of fizzling out and whilst I'm no bedwetter, I can see them looking to replace Eddie in the summer, if it does. Sure we've had bad luck with injuries and cup draws, but something doesn't seem right tonight. For the defence to go from water-tight last season, to looking so porous this season - it's not good enough.

Great hit for his goal and I agree that he offered more of a threat than Miggy.

Out of interest, how many of them were at home?

Stamford Bridge has always been a bogey ground, but that was a pretty rotten 2nd half, particularly defensively. Perhaps one eye on his coming Saturday? Who knows. Play like that v Man City and it will be the expected whitewash. Only positives were Tino, who was probs MoM for us - as well as Isak's and Murph's goals. Oh - and no booking for Bruno. Got to hope Gordon is OK.

We've got a duff record at Chelsea, for most of my life-time. I'd take a draw now if offered.

Really good game. I hope that we have a go at Citeh next Saturday night, because they really struggled 2nd half at times. Re the pen shout at the end - if that was us playing Liverpool - it gets given.

North Shields lost 3-1 At Seham RS and last I saw, Ashington were winning 3-2 at Consett.

Blyth lose again - 1-0 at home to Kings Lynn. Shaw surely on borrowed time - they are sleep walking into a relegation fight.
