What's your source, Dave?

Fair play to him for speaking his mind, I for one only wish he had done it a bit earlier. We all know that the club isn't being ran with the best of intentions/having ambition, so why should our better players want to stay? I believe if Ashley had shown a bit of ambition to push the club forwards, then Jose would more than likely stay. As it is at the moment, the intent seems to be PL survivial first and foremost with minimal squad investment as the cash continues to roll in. What is going to happen to all of this income? As I've said before - Jose has been a great servant to the club - he didn't jump ship when others did and he sought to right the mistakes of 2008/09. I wish him well for the future. I'm just amazed after everything the ownership has done to it's fanbase that there are still many who will happily bend over for a good old buggering. When will people wake up and smell the coffee? I for one am a bit worried for next season, as we've shifted out our two top scorers (one being an influential captain) The dressing room must be on it's arse, so where are the big characters who are going to rise up and roll their sleeves up?

Who's to say it's not us who have been fucking around for weeks? This wouldn't surprise me in the least. May well end up being yet another players heavily linked with us (by Pardew and the club) who moves elsewhere.

Sounds a bit like Gamiero if I'm honest.

Making money in America - that's the name of the game. Aside from appearance fees I can't see them making much tbh. No coverage of games, low crowds, unglamorous opposition. And even what they do make it'll be cancelled out a fair bit by the flight and accommodations costs. We will be being paid a fair bit in apperance money, I reckon.

feck me half 12 tonight Sorry - was just a flying visit here. Didn't have time to check through the thread.

What time is KO, BST?

Wasn't some of the Carroll cash supposed to have been earmarked for the academy?
-
Rotten decision by the club which is nout more than another money-making idea. As a occassional goer to home games and the odd away game, I'm saddened that a trip to Blackburn in January is now going to be unlikely because I refuse to pay £20-25 for the privilage. Once again - the club treating it's lifeblood like something it scrapes off the bottom of it's shoe.
-
Well played for balancing it out.

Nearly sure you can see the female steward get clouted of some 'hardman' at about 10mins in. Fair play to the lads who were telling the knackers to get off the pitch. Radio Newcastle also pointed out the three pitch invasions there have been at the SoL on our last visits, Again after some mackem tried to take the moral high ground!

If acting like a twat is supporting your club, then he can f**k off to be honest and take his radgie mates with him. Little prick should be banned from games for life.
-
The likes of Smith and Xisco were Ashley sanctioned signings and to be honest, even to get shot of them on frees is still going to cost the club a lot of dosh. Perhaps that's where the Carroll cash is gonna go?

I'd take Daniel Sturridge on loan. Don't like the idea about Pardew having to 'sell before he can buy' though. The wage bill has been trimmed massively over the last 2 years and he's still wanting it dropped further. Everything that is happening is pointing towards the club being sold in the next year or so, IMO. Can only hope it turns out to be true because Ashley has no intent on taking the club forwards.

I remember when Sir Bobby was wanting to pay £8million for the lad. A lucky escape, I reckon!
-
Well, look at it this way. Why else would he go into a bar full of wor lot? He can't be that naive to not realise what would happen!
-
Maybe he was looking for a confrontation? Not beyond the realms of possibility.

I'm gonna sound like an old bugger here (I am 38 ) but it's a generational thing. I remember when I did my first away games at the age of 17 and the experience was nout like what it must have been down at Darlo. Some of the teenage element believe they are a law unto themselves and probably the only way it will get dealt with (outside of bans, etc) is for some of the older contingent amongst our lot to get the little bastards by the scruff of the neck and sort it out. Last night has dragged the club into the news for the wrong reasons again, with the press and the self-righteous mackems having a field day. Hopefully it will just be a one off this season.

Pretty obvious that Queerside comes on here looking for a bite. Does this place not have an ignore user function?
-
Simple solution to stuff like this happening again - make such a game all ticket, rather than pay on the door. Having the latter encourages all of the young radgies to travel (especially when it's not far) Bit of a pain in the arse for the good fans, but hey. Banning drink inside the ground is a ludicrous idea and that is from a near tee-totaler.

Yup - NUFC on the ball for once here and once again, I hope the perpatrators are caught.

Queerside and his mates will have been ringing Sky no doubt!
