Very poor performance. Too many players simply going through the motions today and that saddens me. Feel for the lads who paid to travel down to watch such garbage. Being not good enough is one thing, but lack of effort is something else.

He's been very important for us this season and he's spot on about Barry. Lampard is on the way down and Gerrard has been injury prone. His honesty in interviews is quite refreshing - he's always come over as being quite intelligent and insightful. Pity there is a dark side to him though - perhaps if that hadn't been so evident over the years he would have played for England more.
