We aren't paying his wages if he isn't playing so it makes absolutely no difference,Theres a strong chance he will make a positive impact on the games towards the end of the season.. There's also a chance he may not even kick a ball for us this season! Again,We aren't paying his wages,If we hadn't of signed Ireland on loan who is to say we would have bought anyone in? It was worth the risk imo,Win/Win situation.. How the hell is it a win/win situation by signing an injured player? The only 'winner' is Ashley who can say that he brought someone in without having to spend any cash. Honestly, we had a stronger squad last season when we were in the championship!

Quayside - you can hardly blame people for being suspicious of Ashley's motives towards this club given how he's ran it for the last 4 years?! Sure - things may well be looking up financially now but it's what he does next that is going to be the big question. Is he going to be merely content with PL survival whilst he asset strips the club to claw back the cash he is owed, or will he show a bit of ambition to push us onwards and upwards? The jury is still very much 'out' and will be for some time yet.

I saw that lot and utter s**** like Ray Clarke and Billy Rafferty, and Smith is worse than all of them IMHO. Rob Mcdonald was way worse than Smith. I'm too young to remember Clarke and Rafferty (just before I started going to games)

Day after my birthday. Will be tuning in - don't fancy forking out near £50 for a ticket. -
For older fans - Rob Mcdonald, Billy Askew, Pat Heard, Gary Megson to name a few.
-
It'll never happen for a few reasons; * Would lead to a reduction in revenue * Would be seen as a backwards step because for the FA and the PL it's all about middle-class and corporate 'fans'. It's no longer a working man's game, sadly.

Yup - he'd be a good signing, IMO. Pacey, tricky and he can deliver a ball.
-
Carroll being booed off as he's subbed. Classy mackems.
-
Sounds like the mackems are getting the wrong side of the referee's luck here.
-
Sounds like a quality atmosphere at the SoL!

Kuyt scores.

Penalty to Liverpool.

Suarez getting in a huff whenever something doesn't go his way won't be helping either. Any good partnership needs time to build.
