According to 5Live, when Venky's bought Blackburn they thought they were buying a franchise and that there was no relegation from the PL. Makes Ashley not doing due dilligence when he bought us look like a tiny error. Blackburn are in as big a mess as we did, when we went down 3 years ago. I feel sorry for their supporters.

Disappointed, though we gave it a good go but the extra class (and Ya Ya Toure) were the difference in the end. Given the financial might they have, they SHOULD win the league every season - it's hardly the huge achievement that Sky were trying to make it out to be! Speaking of Sky, where was the impartiality having an ex Citeh and ex mackem player as co-commentator? Still, it's been a terrific season and the fact that we have a shout at a CL place on the final day of the season, is just brilliant. Respect all round.
