No changes from us at HT - I knew it! -

Prediction from me - there'll be no changes at HT. Hughton never does that when things aren't going well. -

Christ - 2-0. Simpson giving the ball away this time. Absolutely awful. -

Just not good enough again. Same old problems - no creativity and rubbish service from the flanks. Needs addressing in the January window. -

Gonna need Routledge on here for Guthrie at HT, for me - if we want to win the game. -
Prepared to get destroyed down our right hand side again. Guthrie will drift inside, leaving Simpson totally exposed. Xisco on the bench as well.

Bloody hell - Wigan here we go again.

Jonas marked out of the game pretty much - midfield flooded to Nolan proved ineffective. Nothing down our right hand side as Barton kept on drifting in to try and make a difference. We played right into Fat Sam's hands tonight. We had plenty of possession just no creativity. Thought Jonas was one of our more threatning players if anything Carroll looked completely isolated due to Nolan being marked out of the game and Shola/Ranger being largely ineffective. Its also worth bearing in mind we did actually score but were let down by two poor pieces of defensive play. How many crosses went into the box today and how many saves did Robinson have to make? Answer - not many at all! Hughton should have tried something different a lot earlier than he did - unfortunately it would appear there is no Plan B.
-
Rubbish tonight and Hughton lost the tactical battle against Fat Sam who had obviously done his homework. Hughton brought on Routledge 20 mins too late (when we were 2-1 down) They doubled/tripled up on Jonas and of course we had zero down the right as Barton kept on drifting inside. As a result - no service at all for Carroll and Shola. The former was fouled all night by Samba and how he stayed on the pitch is beyond me. Typical of Blackburn though - they came to spoil and did. We had no answer and thank feck for our away form. Am I also right in thinking we are still 5th? Crazy league this year! PS - What did Barton do? Couldn't see from the Gallowgate.

I'd imagine he'll be on DLA (Disability Living Allowance) as well as perhaps something for mobility. -

Macca gets on 606 as well - think he gets to Scotland games as well? Got no time for the kid, disability of not. I listen (and contribute) to Total Sport these days. Far superior show and no Boro rubbish as mentioned above. Have met Simon Pryde, John Anderson and they are decent lads. Matthew 'Razor' Raisbeck is also related to me from way back and of course he picked a good game for his first Toon commentary on Sunday. -
Was superb today - surely one of the signings of the season.

Fantastic win and performance. They all grafted and Carroll and Tiote were outstanding - also mentions to Shola and Colo. Arsenal poor but I'd like to think that's because we didn't let them play - Tiote marked Fabregas out of the game. This lad looks a real steal. And as for Carroll, the lad keeps on getting better and better -

if he wasn't an NUFC footballer, with his record, you'd want the papers doing this to him. It's a non-story really though, because the paper has said that neither player were known to have taken the drugs. I'd like to think Carroll was behaving himself a bit better but what has he actually done wrong here? -

Unbelievable - a section of the media seem to have it in for Carroll. I hope that legal advice is being sought, because I can't see owt wrong with what's happened, bar Carroll tubbing some boiler at Nolan's? Unless of course they are suggesting that he has been partaking in some charles as well..... -
Spawny Mancs as ever.

The thing is with these games is that it fetches out all of the radgies from up here - trouble is inevitable.
