Kind of a repeat of the Luton game - very open, loads of chances for other side and a fair result all round. Credit to Newcastle for fighting back twice - again. Really lacked a striker up top today - and we also don't have much physicality in midfield. I also assume the knives will be out for Dan Burn again. For the record - was a wonder strike by Semenyo - I don't think Dan did much wrong.

So basically, we don't have a fit centre-forward at the moment. Quality. Wilson is now surely done as a first team regular - simply not fit often enough to be relied on.

Really pleased with the win yesterday. The lads kept going, driven forward by the imperious Bruno. We really do have one of the best midfielders in Europe playing for us at the moment.

Another defeat for Blyth - lost 4-2 at Hereford (3 defeats on the spin) North Shields won their first game since their 'restart' - 1-0 v Boro Rangers.

With regards our support - it's dynamics have changed so much over perhaps the best decade. Lots of working class lads and lasses (such as myself) have been priced out of PL football - simply just can't afford to go. It seems to have become much more of a middle class experience and of course we get the tourists and daytrippers, which is reflected in the poor atmosphere both home and away. I remember the Sunderland cup game the other week - mild applause when we scored 3 goals (from many there), rather than the 'limbs aal owa', which would have happened in the past. PL football is no longer the working mans game.

Not Dan's fault, but at 6'7, he's always going to struggle against a very pacy and direct winger. I thought it was a pen today - he had a couple of goes at the lad.

Is it just me, or was the atmosphere as flat as a fart again today? Sounded really quiet on TV.

Wow - that was some game and some comeback! Probs a fair result overall - we really struggled to deal with their physicality and pace. But we stuck at it. Happy enough here.

Luton have surprised me and are good value to being level. We are losing too many 50/50's and look vulnerable to their pace on the counter. Barkley running the midfield for them.
