  1. Saw him at SJP, about an hour ago as I was heading back to my car. Pulled up in his Range Rover, and headed into Milburn Reception talking on his mobile. Would have said hello, if he hadn't been on his phone.
  2. Is he the former tennis player who has written a load of shite with regards to the club in the past? What qualifies him to pass judgement? Perhaps we should go and exhume Bill McGarry. He sounds ideal if you listen to this wanker.
  3. I've said Yes - it's a no brainer really. Ashley (despite the apology) has shown he doesn't have a clue with regards how to run a football club. It could also be that he is not prepared to pay out of his own pocket to see us through the next season. Just hope it's not involving Fat Freddy and if it is - that he is a sleeping partner in the deal. Can't see the latter, though.
  4. Apparently Owen didn't hang about for long at the final whistle. Couple of reports I read said that there were others who didn't come to applaud the fans, instead slithering straight back to the dressing room. Can we name and shame, from anyone who was there?
  5. Death Threats??? The ones that when the Chief Constable of Northumbria was asked about, he knew nothing about! It was another convenient lie from Ashley.
  6. Got what we deserved, which was nothing. Don't think I've ever witnessed such a cowardly performance as that 2nd half. Players who clearly don't give a s*** and know they are moving on. I just worry that some of them will be content to stay on their big contracts and refuse to move. It's been a bad day, but not unexpected. I for one hope Shearer stays on and is given the tools/support from Ashley to rebuild. Anything less than that and it's relegation to League One we could be worrying about next season. Fans will leave the club in their droves unless a change happens upstairs. Bet Dennis Wise is laughing his tits off tonight.
  7. He looked hurt at being relegated, but also by the fact that once again - the players have let him and the club down. They along with our owner, should hang their heads in shame. Shearer's not to blame - you cannot flog a dead horse.
  8. Same as geordiedean for me. Players haven't bothered their arses since Xmas - why should they for tomorrow?
  9. I'll be glad when tomorrow is over at last, one way or the other. I was 16 when we last went down in 89, indeed I remember it well having made it to every home game. It's a horrible feeling - make no mistake. What happens in the summer will be crucial to how next season goes. If Ashley can keep Shearer on board (and back him), then we have a bit of hope - if not........
  10. The timing of the interview isn't great (hasn't Jones at the mackems done something similar?) However, you can't blame the kid when the club has been ran as it has, since Keegan departed. Hopefully Shearer will be able to convince him to stay on (if only for a season) if we do go down, and of course - Alan wants to stay too. The latter is Ashley's last chance for redemption, so he should MAKE it happen.
  11. Always makes me think of the 83/84 promotion campaign when I hear it. RIP Busker.
  12. I'll be watching at home, so it'll be handy to go into hiding for the night should the expected (and worst) happen.
  13. No way on god's earth we'll come straight back up. The club is in too much of a mess. Even if Shearer stays on, the side needs major surgery and that takes time.
  14. I'd welcome it - as long as it didn't mean Fat Freddie as chairman. It's his bollocksing about in the first place which is why we find ourselves where we are.
  15. Thing is if we do go down, then the power to change things lies in the hands that go to games. The only way Ashley can redeem himself (if he can) is to convince Shearer to rebuild the club and give him the support that he needs. Anything other than that, then the club is a lost cause and will be until it changes hands. If the latter is the case, then think hard about what you are going to to with your season ticket money when the begging letters come out. If you's need convincing - picture the likes of Ashley, Lambias, Owen, Smith and Duff laughing at you as you sign the cheque - because they will be.
  16. Again - not sure how anyone can blame KK for doing what he did. His position had become untenable because Ashley backed his man (Wise) It was totally the wrong choice and it's not only come back to bite him on the arse, but us too. Bet the poisonous little cunt is sitting laughing his tits off somewhere.
  17. It's the way it goes when you are at the bottom. We've had rotten luck over the past few games, but it can't be used as an excuse for consistently under performing players.
  18. Nolan's only about 26 isn't he? Pretty disgraceful (and unprofessional) to be washed up at that age.
  19. Fellas, you can blame Webb for today but we are where we are because we are not good enough and haven't been all season. If you are angry - you should be directing it at those who run the club and also the 7/8 cowards that currently populate our first team.
  20. Nolan is another one who should be sold in the summer. He's just not done it consistently since he joined. He's rumoured to be overweight and also allegedly likes a drink or two. What happened to that box-to-box midfielder that was at Bolton? He's been another awful signing, along with the very disappointing Ryan Taylor.
  21. GM - of course not. They are as much to blame as the owner and his various cohorts. However when the dust settles, someone has to take responsibility for what has happened this season. The players have shown they aren't interested - so surely it should be the owner who carries the can. Afterall, it's his stupid decisions that have got us in this mess for the most part.
  22. Just wondering if there is and if so, how do you's feel now that the club is standing on the brink of oblivion. Or is he not to blame?
  23. The big earners need shipping out. We all know the likes of Owen and Viduka are out of contract, but the worry for me is who the hell is going to take the likes of Smith, Duff, Geremi, Nolan and Ameobi off our hands? They can afford to stay here until their contract ends. The likes of Jonas, Coloccini and Bassong will surely leave - the first two we may have to take major losses on.
  24. Jimmy - the time to stand up and be counted passed a long time ago. The players have failed in that respect. If anyone is expecting them to go and put in a performance against Villa (and get a result), then prepare yourself for major disappointment.
