Good 8min interview here - http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/5665/7/exclusive-pardew-targets-five-newcastle-summer-signings Bizzarre goodbye though. "Have a good work guys!"?
  4. Blatant admission of tapping up by Warnock. Yup. "That's why I chased him for so long and talked to him so many times. Pestered him, in fact."
  5. Revolutionary? I cant' imagine many have said that it was that, but it is certainly a more defined policy. Of course we have bought young players in the past, the difference now is that there is a greater reluctance to spend big on players over the age of 25. Good, sensible stuff imho.
  6. Ah, fair enough. Yeah, that's what I thought, but if he can bulk up a bit on his steak and beans then we may have another tricky full back who can cross a ball, really like what I've seen of the lad so far.
  7. Potential replacement? Useful backup?
  8. Moncur thinks Keegan should pipe the fuck down. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/
  9. Now that's the kind of lunacy I'd happily back.
  10. True that. I would very much doubt he'll get a trunk full of twentys and told, 'go on luv, knock youself out'. Keegan talking sense shocker.
  11. Keegan would have sold him for £35m, but doesn't think Pards will see any of the money. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00fc3sy
  12. See, I wish I had your confidence. I think we'll lose, draw, or perhaps win. At best.
  13. If a bid is accepted, the player goes. Players turning down moves generally doesn't happen, despite people on here thinking it does all the time. Les Ferdinand got a phone call halfway to London saying that Shearer had done his knee and that we wanted him to turn round and come back, he said that despite the fact he never wanted to leave, it had been made clear to him that the money was more important than he was, so he refused. That's what I was saying, selling players for fees we think are too good to turn down has always generally happened. Apart from one example (Dyer) but then I can't remember if bids were ever confirmed or just paper talk. It was never confirmed as more than paper talk from our club or any prospective buyers as far as I'm aware, and all interest died away after his injury at the back end of that season. It is quite telling imho that the only example Shepherd dragged up when saying he wouldn't have sold big players like Carroll was that he turned down an offer from Shearer (this was from Liverpool for reportedly around £2m) - said nowt about Dyer which would have been a much better comparison.
  14. I post less than I used to for a variety of reasons, and I'm actually well happy that Leazes is no longer around. Meanwhle, I find the rampant negativity boring, and can't be arsed to engage very often with those who delight in making the most pessimistic predictions they can come up with. As this thread was meant to point out, things aren't actually so bad. Glorious hypocrisy from somebody who signed up solely to whinge about Freddy Shepherd. 15. Tiote's not common either though.
  16. Not yet comfortable? Come on Shola son. That mask looks no thicker than some lasses slap. Would be great if he could make the bench.

Was that him? Jesus it was stupidly loud, I thought it was some puffed put 30st reporter Me too. That would drive me nuts, the lads should chip in and get him his nasal cavity excavating.
  18. Good to hear, but you'd think a little presumptuous. Well, considering the players we have and the ones coming back from injury as well, I wonder what sort of contract we'd give him if he did stay? Doubt it would be close to the one he has at the moment.

Sounds like some knock off perfume you could pick up down the green market.
  21. We all do. I just have absolutely no idea what next season will bring, we could progress, but just as likely a few bollocks dropped in the transfer market and we could tumble down the leagues again. It would be bloody miracle the way things have been going for a fair few years now, to just get the whole way through without a change of manager. I think just that bit of stability would be a plus for me. when was the last time we started and finnished a season in the prem with the same manager? Robson possibly? Was pretty stunned when someone brought it up a few weeks back.

Top stuff. The send off should be massive, but it's also great news that the spirit of L7, fingers crossed, isn't going to be completely lost. /until the next seats shuffle.
