  1. What the f*** should he say? "How did you feel when you first heard of Liverpool's interest? "I didn't give a toss, I'm Newcastle through and through. Now take me back home please." Of course. That wouldn't really work out in the real world tho.. His actual answer is a pretty standard answer, who i wouldn't lay too much thought in to. Also the reporter is very clearly trying to drag answers like that out of him - almost putting words in Carroll's mouth. Balls. He could have said something along the lines of, "I was surprised when the bid was accepted, but now I'm here I'm delighted obviously". But because it was his decision in the end, that would be lying now, wouldn't it. Fact is he is saying fair enough things, unless of course you still think like yourself that he had no choice in his departure.

What's Pards done in the past other than twang the odd knicker elastic?
  5. Come on Ronaldo, you've got the kneejerks going. Where did you get this tidbit from?
  6. They are a tricky side with a good deal of confidence going into this, and on their day could give us a hammering like spurs. Tough to call. 5-0 Newcastle.
  7. To get the deal done in time. Hope we invoiced the scouse fukkers for rental, fuel, airport fees etc. No hubcaps on a helicopter, thankfully.

Danny Simpson is saying in that tweet that it's not what they want to hear off the fans. Check the link at the end. Ugh, probbinsNUFC can go fuck himself then. Do you hear that probbinsNUFC!

easy, turn him down when he asks for the wage he's worth I don't think it would have taken anywhere near that, maybe just a promise for more than the pittance he was on and a continuation of the line that we wanted to keep him. It's Beardsley all over again. Meanwhile Blackpool manage to hold onto their star player, despite him wanting to go and clubs falling over themselves to get him. But they are such a big club compared to us... That had sod all to to with Blackpools resilience, and everything to do with Tottenhams arseing about trying to pull off one of their special last minute deals. i'm sure spurs said it was lack of time that stopped them getting adam, makes you think a fee was,if not agreed, very close to being agreed. I'm sure the fee was agreed, Redknapp said the only thing that stopped it was the Blackpool board couldn't get in touch with 2 directors in time to sign the bloody thing.
  10. All transfers tend to be that way. Ashley riled against that when he first arrived, stating the we at least would pay for players in one go where possible. and something that uefa ought to be looking at bringing in alongside it's other financial fair play stuff. That's something that is slightly bugging me (primarily because I havn't a clue what this financial fair play thing means or when it comes into play). But let's say we do start spending some large wedge on players in lump sums despite actual incoming transfer fees being spread over 5 years or whatever, by doing that, would we get into trouble?
  11. i'll bet you a pint we make a signing of over 8million before the next transfer window is shut. Not exactly out the question since we'd just offered 12m for a player.
  12. Probably slightly, and rightly, pissed that Dagleish pointed out that Shearer was one who suggesting Carroll was a player he should go for.
  13. A truley retarded and unnecessary of the cuff comment if ever there was one. Nice one Dekka.

I'm not that gullible, even without Ashley being proven in court to lie to us as a default setting (and the stench of Pardew's odds tumbling while he insists he knew nothing), but... even if we do take it that Pardew's an honourable man and Carroll was determined to bugger off, then Pardew's been incompetently naive in giving all those assurances and I still can't believe a word he says. What was he supposed to say like? "Well we don't know, Andy might be sold if a massive offer comes along or if he decides he wants to piss off but hey ho, that's life!" He was trying to give assurances to the squad and to the fans that they were doing everything to try and keep him. How was he supposed to know that Liverpool would turn his head and come in with a £35m offer. He was supposed to say "I've put my reputation with the supporters on the line over this. He stays." And then resign, as Keegan did. The only way I'd begin to forgive him is if I was convinced that they'd turned hell and high water to convince Carroll to stay but that he was absolutely determined to go, come what may. And I'm far from that. Are you? Really? Ok put it this way, should he instead have said we have no intention of player x leaving unless player x puts in a transfer request because the oportunity for him was too much to turn down? We wanted him to stay, but if a player wan't to leave, it has sod all to do with Pardew at that point, we just have to get as much for him as we can. Despite all the quotes people have trotted out, not one of them shows Pardew in the bad light that you are trying to cast over him in my humble opinion.

Dont get twitter. Who's saying fulham will beat us? dannysimpson12 .RT @probbinsNUFC: @peter999919 @elgalgojonas @dannysimpson12 @NilePowerRanger fulham will easily beat us 3-0 (cont) http://tl.gd/8hmeg5
  17. I know :/ Ranger and Shola for me Switching with Leon. Lovelypants should continue in the role of legs off the bench at best.
  18. Can't stand this X percent of supporters think this that and the other. Dear NUSC, please note that it's actually X percent of people who bothered to fill in your surveys. Cheers.
  19. Ashley shopped him to the office of fair trading for price fixing or something. He should again. £12m for the Zog is way over the odds.
  20. "When I knew it was real and that there was a chance for me to come here I knew it was a great opportunity and I had to take it." Didn't need to change his story though.
  21. We may well regret it, but unlike Livepool, established, in Europe, and with massive financial backing, the arguement is sound that in our first season back, we are simply not in a position to give our young players £80 grand a week. Especially when we have just tied half our squad to new contracts that reflect our current standing. As Pardew hinted at, we would not have a very happy squad if we started making exceptions everytime someones head gets turned.
  22. That doesn't even make sense man. Josef Fritzl is world renowned for building enourmously 'secure' playrooms.
  23. Sorry, but while it was too late in the day, didn't Blackpool accept an offer from Tottenham in the end? Not really putting their foot down very strongly if that was the case. EDIT: Well, they tried to accept but... Redknapp - “Apparently the boy was definitely up for coming, but apparently the chairman couldn’t get hold of two shareholders who had to sign the forms as well. It’s just one of those things.”
