He only showed some determination to come here because we had a deal and yet Marseille pulled the plug. He never stated he'd only come here, just that he wanted to go to the Prem at the time if I recall correctly. Not a chance this'll now come off. Not a chance. http://chinaadopttalk.com/forum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/fingers_crossed.gif http://chinaadopttalk.com/forum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/fingers_crossed.gif http://chinaadopttalk.com/forum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/fingers_crossed.gif http://chinaadopttalk.com/forum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/fingers_crossed.gif http://chinaadopttalk.com/forum/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/fingers_crossed.gif

I don't like it. Not going to f***ing apologise for that fact. I hate advertising full stop and can't stand the sportsdirect.com logo, but if that is all the stadium name change extends to it's a bit of a relief tbf. Would rather it didn't obviously, but hope we are able to get a decent sponsor and some decent cash for it if it happens. What makes you think we'll get another sponsor? The club obviously had no interest in the last ten months or they wouldn't be doing this. This. I wouldn’t be surprised if this application was part of a wider renaming project. Love your conspiracies. Dave, do you seriously not think that actually having planning in place, being in the Prem, and losing the black cloud over the club in the national media with performances like last weekends doesn't make a difference in attracting sponsorship?

is that it ? 3 quite small sports direct signs on the gallowgate end and 3 on the milburn. Disgraceful innit. Hopefully we'll get some money from it at least. why would we get any money for sports direct signs? looks like free advertising space for them. Why wouldn't we, we are seperate companies. Besides I think the plan is for other companies to pick up the naming rights, the images on the plans may well be just just placeholders. How much did SD pay for the advertising inside the ground? £1,900,000

Would the planning approval be subject to the image, or is it possible that the permission is just being sought for the advetising space so that it is in place for any prospective sponsors we might be chasing?

  10. What? There's a third of the match left. Optimum sub time is 60 minutes. Plus, he always does it. Not sure why that's particularly funny. Brilliant!
  11. A great advert to those local young Shearers, Bruces, Beardsleys and Carricks this will be to know the club will transfer list you without even telling you first hand, and try to turn the supporters against you by releasing rumours about massive wage demands to the press.... Wow, that's one of the largest leaps of logic I think I've seen you make. Impressive.
  12. Sweet zombie Jesus, you've just agreed with the people you call bellends.
  13. Taylor isn't anymore likely to hang around then anyone else though is he?, this situations proves that. Coloccini may or not not end his career here but if he doesn't we should get a fee. Also if you're worrying that Williamson might get a big move somewhere else that also provides cash to spend a hell of a lot more then £3m on new defenders. Its nonsense to say that if Ashley's still here we can't expect to buy a player for more then £3m no matter what the situation. Plus Williamson cost about £1m didn't he? I'd be very very surprised if Ashley ever spends more than £3-4m on any player again. Besides, anyone coming in for more than that might expect 60k type wages and this situation surely proves that we don't pay that. Proves nothing of the sort, just that we don't think Taylor is worth that.
  14. Aye, much better to pay his wages until he buggers off for nothing.
  15. Which tends to suggest that they didn't. Taylor thought he had us over a barrel the later it got in the window.

Aquilani has gone already too don't forget.
  17. Aha! Your defence of him suddenly makes sense.
  18. Guess he thinks he might as a free transfer. Transfer listing him now just puts the pressure on him to sort out his future sooner than next summer or be seen as a wage sitting scummer.
  19. It's been a long enough proccess to have got well past that stage of the negotiations.
  20. It will go into the club, so yes it will have a bearing on future budgets including available money for player wages and acquisitions. /Not that the fee itself will have much effect. If we do manage to sell him I'll be surprised if we get 1.5 to 2m max considering his injury and contract.
  21. Well get more than not trying to get shot and seeing him bugger off for nowt.
