Things like Keegan walking after the PLC debarcle just seem so far away now and games whether attended (or not like Marseille) are usually quick enough to get over. So that said, I can't think of any single game or event that tops the joyless slide and slow creeping resignation that came with the appointments of Souness, then Roeder and then Allardyce under Shepherd. Souness in particular with the rows I had with people over his appointment and handling of Bellamy and Robert just left a really lingering bitter taste. Really couldn't stand him, or anyone defending him.

Loved his keep schtum persona as a manager, but now that weve moved on, watching his interviews is like watching paint dry.

So do I, but we obviously won't. We just need to hope for more Tiote/Ben Arfa type bargain buys, that will be our approach I'm sure. Ben Afra must be around 7m including the loan fee, but yeah, hopefully he will be a bargain. I think if we can find a good deal on any player (even if that means over 10m), as long as it is seems good value, I think we would find the money to do it. The economic climate may have changed to a degree but the thing that warms m'cockles is that Ashley was willing to spend over 10m on a quality defender (not your usual kind of wow signing) and that for me is now paying off handsomely. I have faith that we'd do the same again.

Thought he had one of his best games for us against spurs.

You would, so what is your problem with what Pardew did? And what do you mean by a rash of substitutions? Guthrie was fucked so had to go off. Lovenkrands did well and was a great outlet, and Ranger did a damn sight better than Ameobi when he came on. Have no problem with anything he did today, I though with the players we had, we played fantastically well today.

Is he? short answer no Source?

Wayne Routledge signs 3 year deal with Swansea

Done sod all for us this season and really hasn't shown anything to suggest he would anytime soon - so no great problem with giving someone else a chance to cover rw imho. Thank him and wish him luck for the future though. -

Whatever the case, the BBC were complete dicks reporting rumour as nailed on fact. Complete dicks. Fair play to Dixon for at least looking a little uncomfortable on Football Focus.

Nope.. both Nile's & Beardo's are interviews only no highlights. Bah.
-
Yeah, I'm struggling with him just from his latest interview. I think it's clear Nile's frustrated anarl but he is such a kid when he talks about having to knuckle down etc, not sure he is even convincing himself there. Thought the interviewer was pretty direct when he was suggesting the club might feel he owed them and brough up that miss. Looked a bit shocked by the wake up call, but you can tell he wants to make it, and wants to finally get that first team goal. Really hope he can prove he's a Premiership player, think he'd have been out on his ear by now if he didn't have something special about him.

Are the highlights in any of the interviews on NUTV? Can't find owt, but really want to catch Rangers 'Henry' like 2nd.

They've probably never worked with each other before. They might not get on well so would be daft giving a long-term contract. 6 months gives them enough time to see if they can work as a duo, and if not, then he goes in the summer and nothing's lost. Any word if there's a 'view' to make it long-term? "It's a short term deal at the moment in order that I can get to know John better and it gives us both the chance to see how the next four months pan out working together. That said, I'm very confident he'll be a great addition to our coaching staff and hopefully, if things go well, we can make it a longer term appointment come the summer."
