Not massively fussed by either of them.

Don't forget Vukic as another ready to step straight in. If we needed anyone it would be a pacy striker that can add cover for the wings and 'Nolans hole' so you can see the thinking behind Ben Arfa. But to be honest if we can't get someone of his quality, I'd not be unhappy if Tiote was the last of the spending for this window. Edit: Good God, that's spookily close to what Tron just said. That's a first.

He has had an enourmous amount of 'rough' to deal with already imho.

How exactly? Am I wrong in remebering that Marseille pulled out of the agreement? Depends on who and what you believe. I believe there was a deal to be done weeks ago before it generated into a saga and we fudged it because we were tight c***s. That's my belief and I've got no way of proving or disproving it btw. Wasn't that deal dependant on us buying him if we stayed up or he played 25 league games. Would you have agreed to that if it was your decision? Yes - in a heartbeat. Why? That presents numerous problems, just look at Dindane's loan to Pompey for one example. It's a heck of a gamble. If it didn't work out we'd still sell him on for a small profit or loss. He's a quality player and clubs are always looking for good players and most are prepared to pay for them. Not exactly rocket science tbh. Jesus. Remind me again what Marseille paid for him?

That was always going to be the case, no matter who we signed this summer. It's more about how we do against the other fourteen teams (and mostly the likes of Wigan, Blackpool and West Ham) that matters this year. After a good start I'm heartened, but we still need a couple of new faces, even if they're just kids as cover. Yes I know it would, but we'd have a better chance at getting the odd result. With the current lot it's damage limitation. That's pretty much the case for everyone outside the top 5, we've just been promoted ffs.

If you have a fair few million to spare to pump into the club, fair play, otherwise don't get your hopes up. No but the fat fuck does if he's willing to dip into his own pocket.

And those losses were from that season so any money we get now is just profit cos of no rollovers!

2 years as well The longest two years of our lives. Aye, god forbid we have to see anymore performences like the last one from him. One great performance in three years? Worth every penny tbh Yup.

What is this balls about young players and recouping money. If nobody wants to buy him now, trying to offload him after a years worth of wages and sitting on the bench it's not like we'll be breaking even on the lad. /that goes for HBA too.
-
If he was better than what we have I'd happily have him here. But he's not.
-
How was it in our hands? He's been hawked all over the shop and the only reason we were anywhere near picking him up is because clubs simply weren't jumping at the chance to get him for whatever reason; so while the club couldn't fit him in the budget for this year, we provided a way out. We met their demands (not that we could match his anyway by the look of it), they then fucked us over by changing their minds, happy to wait until clubs get more desperate at the end of the window and hope someone has a punt on the lad. Oh, and 'too good for us'? F*ck off.

Had no problem with Ashley's "wow" signing tbh.

I love the club in the same way I love my home town, take pride in my city, my region, my roots.

Surely you can grasp that it's not about accepting his patter or trusting the bloke; the fact is what he has said has for the most part been echoed in the accounts. If the accounts show that we are now raking it in as opposed to losing money year on year, then I'll happily hammer Ashley for not investing that money in the team, but as it stands I'd doubt it - If we were making money he'd surely do what most chairman do and start charging interest on his loans for a start.

As much as I know this is 99.9% bullshit, these types of posts always fill me with a little bit of hope which then gets crushed the next day. Just like the takeover thread. Keefaz is a funny guy, but I don't think he's joking. We'll see. Trust Keefaz implicitly, and his source.... and his sources source.

Shuddup you.

We've still brought in more than we've let go which is not the case for most clubs. In fact I think other than ourselves, only West ham and Everton have managed it so far.

Bollocks. Find me these accounts of him wanting to go to Newcastle. As soon as a premier league club came in we didn't stand a chance, just as we didn't stand a chance with Ben Afra if some club came in who were better than us, or a club like Bremen who have money to bun after likely selling an even better player. Nonsense. Bollocks to you an'arl then.
