League Cup Third Round - Crystal Palace (A) to be played W/C 22nd September

That's the spirit. I'll be going, and will probably enjoy it too. -

Damn my mid 20th century sensibilities, but really hoping the preponderance of "cunt"s on this board calms down when Pardew finally buggers off.

2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143

When's the ladies team kit launch? -
That quote is actually wrong, he said "he's got to get a bit stronger", not "be a bit stronger". The two mean completely different things in this context. Take that up with Miles Starforth, I gave up my nufcTV account so really not in a position to argue over each word. Whether it's 'be' or 'get', I still can't see how that is suggesting he wants Cabella to bulk up and become a defensive lump though. He's not far away from fitness, needs to 'get' a bit stronger, but keep the slight build which gives him the ability to 'skip past you'. Anyway. Fucking love Cabella.

http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9418313/pardew-sets-points-target? With some context, it's less damming. 48 points though. Be still my beating heart.

This. One place it won't get moved from, and will definitelt be seen on sky etc Slim has already said the Strawberry bods have refused. Fuck knows why like.

Did you read what he actually said? Honestly, you and Pardew are like two peas in a pod in your takes on Cabella, but somehow you're having a go at him. Bizarre. While the 24-year-old is slightly-built, Pardew does not feel that will be a problem. And he believes the France international, pictured, will quickly gain strength and adjust to the pace of the Premier League – and pick up where he left off in France. “He’s not far away from fitness,” said Pardew. “He’s got to be a bit stronger – he’s a slight guy – but it makes him difficult to contain. He can skip past you. He’s got a nice inventive brain and comes up with ideas on the football pitch.” http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/pardew-more-power-to-cabella-1-6780025

In stark contrast to Pardew, will defend and big up the players that lick his hoop BUT those that go against his turgid, direct football get blasted in public and blamed for his own failures, which makes him the lowest of the low Think my memory is shot again. Does Pardew really make a habit of openly blasting his players?

Might actually put an end to some of the staff flogging their spares on for profit.

Our preview/vid is now up on the Guardian website. Guardian writers’ predicted position: 9th http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/aug/11/newcastle-united-premier-league-preview?

Played the whole game and didn't look too shattered by the experience. Still seems half asleep sometimes which leads to him giving the ball away way too much, but that just strikes me as more to do with his general lack of awareness than anything fitness related.

Well, can't see it myself, but I for one am delighted he reckons we can push for Champions League. Good luck, hope this doesn't bite you in the arse and makes you look even more of a massive eejit as the season progresses.
-
Oh dear.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/323690/report Try the video. Haven't watched it myself. Just seems like her's saying we're doing ok in the market despite not having the Champions League money of some clubs. Nowt there about actually having Champions league aspirations.

Interesting stuff. Sounds worryingly about as mentally fragile as Cisse.
-
3 cunts I want nowhere near NUFC and Riviere Get the feeling you'll find a reason to want him out too soon enough.
-
Going into the season with no striker apparently capable of getting into double figures is piss weak, whoever the manager is.
-
This is the only thing that matters. I suspect we won't get another in but unless Cisse suddenly turns a corner, we're fucked without one. Totting up the suspected cost/sale value of players mean nowt. If/when they release accounts that show considerable trousering we'll get rightly pissed off, but otherwise trying to work out our finances via the media seems a bit pointless tbh.

Petre Shilton always looked tubby and it didn't stop him being a good keeper. Southall too Edit: Bugger http://s3.amazonaws.com/rapgenius/1374954608_CowboyFastDraw_Howard2.gif

Petre Shilton always looked tubby and it didn't stop him being a good keeper. Elliott has a hell of a way to go to beat off Neville Southall to the fat keeper crown. Not even sure he's less dainty than a Mike Hooper to be fair to the lad.
