2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America

It is like. Surprised to be honest, thought the mexican fans would be more up for it. Barely a peep out of them bar some old fellas teeth clacking together. -
No, he's just a s*** manager. How can a Newcastle fan not see that he was a s*** manager? It defies belief. He won one trophy but dismantled a team that had been winning everything going for over a decade. When he left Blackburn, he was on the verge of being sacked and SBR's team with Carver in charge beat them 3-0. He dismantled our team as well. I don't, I just don't understand what's so difficult to understand... He was f***ing s*** for us, yes. Doesn't mean that for periods he didn't do decent jobs somewhere else. Souness was weapons grade horse shit and should never have been anywhere near our club. I hate what Souness did to our club. He sold everyone who made us tick. Batty, Ginola, Ferdinand and Gillespie off the top of my head I think, and those players were critical to accompanying Shearer. He also brought some dross, Jon Dahl Tomasson was awful for us all be it he went on to do ok in Italy. Think he signed Given and Solano so perhaps those were the good things he did, but it wasn't worth it at the expense of destroying an attacking mentality and squad of players for a negative system and shitter players. Gullit was just as awful too. Thank god Bobby came when he did, although am I right in thinking Bobby turned us down before we got Souness in?

How is that a different option? Doing a Gomis means being picked and scoring goals before getting his move. Otherwise he's sitting on his arse for a year when he should be at his height. Christ, even a move to Qatar would be better than that. Think of it like this, if say a club in Qatar is willing to pay us 3 million for him this year they could sign him next year and give hatem say 1.5million on top of his existing signing on fee I get the economic reasons, but I'm surprised that you're trying to suggest that HBA would think it's worth sitting in the stands for a year to pick up an extra £1.5m and yet it's somehow different from throwing his career down the pan. If you think he's that greedy then fair enough, but I hope you're wrong obviously.

Bunkum it is then. Mind, that suggests he either can get on with Pardew and thinks he has a chance to play, or he genuinely can't be arsed any more. Hope to f*** it's the former. I think he's hoping Trashley bins Pardew next season and the next fella actually has a clue and gives him a new contract. It's a mad hope, but good luck to him if that's true.

True. Still reckon anything under £8m would have a fair few clubs interested. And the asking price was recently laughably reported as being £3m wasn't it?
-
I have no doubt in my mind that a team in a competitive European league would have him, wages would probably be the only stumbling block. While he's been treated in an absolutely terrible fashion over the last year, moving to Qatar would speak real volumes of him and how he approaches his career, IMO. Just stinks of a money-driven move, if it comes off It could also "stink" of a footballer wanting to play games if it does come off and is the only acceptable offer. Do you believe he couldn't find a club in a top European league willing to play him? If you do and yet still the only 'acceptable offer' is in Qatar, then it is all about the money tbh. That said, I'd be staggered if the story isn't bunkum. Qatar ffs.

On what do you base that? We brought all of those players in under the same bods in charge that we have now (and there is little actual evidence that our transfer policy has changed dramatically). I'm not particularly worried about the quality of players we will bring in, just how they end up being used. What, little evidence apart from the zero signings of any quality you mean? We're not chasing complete knackers so I still reckon we're actually trying to sign Remy/Ben Arfa quality players. Getting them over the line is the sodding problem, either down to a stubborn reluctance to spend over our valuations, or utter incompetence. Probably both. Useless feckers.

Going to allow myself to get excited for this lad, looks a cracking prospect. Good luck Jackie G! G is for Geordie.

At least Villa are trying. Nah, fuck it, you're right, Senderos is just horrible. Sorry man.

Can't sustain a cup push without bodies in the squad.
-
I revelled in scoring against my dad as a kid. Didn't mean I stopped loving the fella. If he does well for us, you'll welcome him in time. If not, he'll be gone soon enough. No idea if he's signing or not, but good luck to the lad if he does. God knows we need the bodies.
-
Well, that's the general idea. We may yet put out a Geordie 11 Sir John.
-
Way to misrepresent. Wait, what, where? He's not the worst or utter dross? He might be a decent signing?
-
Fine, fine. The guy is the worst of the worst, utter dross. Please God, let him score against the mackems.
-
You are a fucking loon. Good luck to the lad if he signs, hope he does well for us. He clearly has an affinity for us if he wants to sign for us despite the current lot in charge.
-
This. Unless it's the final possibly, our players (whey, ex player in this case potentially) mean more to me than a distant 'national' team.

Fa'kin hell.
