We know you're just being silly dj, if you'll watch Serie A you'll watch anything. Serie A has more technique than the Premier League, and I don't just mean the top four, I mean in terms of the entire division. Shame the Italians can't even be bothered to watch it. There are numerous reasons for why crowds are low. Bigger numbers doesn't equate to a better league. And Tooj I was unaware Spain was being included in the debate? It's a shit league, technical or not. I'd say it was more tactical than technical anyway, and why it bores most half to death.

Cissy is a twat of the highest order. Plus his legs are made of glass. I'd rather we looked elsewhere.

50-50. I like him as a player, when he played at SJP and scored he was the best player on the park, technically better than anything we had to offer. He certainly had a bright future for me, but facts are facts, his injury record is horrendous and clubs are knocking him back left, right and centre. If it was a low cost deal, pay as you play, but surely he's been trying to get that at other clubs and still can't, sounds like a write-off.

Apparently Rafa doesn't relate well to his players, has been the same since he joined (a lot was made about it when Gerrard nearly left and the fickle Liverpool fans started burning Gerrard shirts) Fella I know who is a good lad and doesn't bullshit was in a bar about a year ago when Carragher was openly slagging Benitez. Wouldn't surprise me. With Houillier they either had a friend or a father figure, then to go to the extreme was always going to ruffle a few feathers and it's something he's never going to change, i doubt he can. If I were Rafa i'd bring back Thommohawk nose in a Terry Mac style role.

Because people read the papers and automatically know what they're like in the dressing room and in person. What a load of shit. -

Especially one who's a cunt with it as well. -
And shipped out some very good ones..... It's like Rafa was undermined by the board some years ago and since decided to systematically destroy the squad by selling key players and buying overpriced rubbish.

What a crying shame. -
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has pleaded with the club's owners to buy new players. Liverpool are out of the UEFA Champions League and effectively out of the Barclays Premier League title race. Wednesday's FA Cup third round replay defeat to Reading has left them with just the Europa League trophy to chase. And Torres wants the club's American co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to back his fellow Spaniard and manager Rafael Benitez. Torres said: "It's frustrating. We finished second last season. This season should have been a turning point for us - a chance to do something great. "Manchester United sold Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo, while Chelsea didn't sign anyone. But it hasn't been. It's now the owners' turn. They have to sign players so that this does not happen again. "If we want to compete with United and Chelsea we need a much, much more complete squad. We need more genuinely first-class players and we can't let our best players leave." Torres, currently out with a knee injury, told Four-Four-Two magazine: "We didn't want to win the Europa League at the start of the season but it's a reality now. "Now we have to win it. Anything less than winning the tournament would be terrible. We need to improve, we need to take responsibility and we need to get into the top four and win something. "We have virtually no chance of winning the title now. Now we need to make the best of this situation."

At us? I don't really see any reason why we did it in 92-93 but shouldn't repeat it now. These set of players, especially in defence are a lot more talented than the class of 93 but in fairness they've shown a lot of character in the last 6 months. It was a class moment back then, the excitement and buzz was unreal, it won't be the case this time.

Surely promotion is enough of a reason for that? Promoted clubs hold huge celebrations in Spain, even reasonably big ones like Atlético, Valencia or Zaragoza had them. Even if we return, the future doesn't look so rosey with Ashley at the helm still, i doubt many would want to celebrate, just forget this season and pray we don't go straight back down and get doubled off Sunderland.
-
More importantly if we do; will we celebrate with an open top bus? Personally don't think we should, though not dead against it.
-
Sacked again, (Paul Hart that is) 9 managers in about 27 months, not bad.
-
Freak.
-
Finally charged, doubt he'll get away with it this time. Bye bye saggy face.

Ronaldo in knowing all the players shocker. Anyone Ronaldo doesn't personally know?
-
What we want matters little, but it's nice to know 99.9% of the players love him and his training regime at the club.

Not even that really. Most of them time they've fluked their way to victory, been given a bogus decision or Gerrard has bailed them out. Liverpool only perform (just like their fans) for the final 10mins after Gerrard decides he wants to win the game. Now Gerrard is off form and Torres is picking up injuries left right and centre, which he always has done, they've got nothing left in the tank especially with the sale of Alonso, and the erratic form and behaviour of Macherano. Carragher going down hill faster than Eddie the Eagle has buggered their defence as well, everything is shite. Players like Babel could be the ones to pull it out for them, fresh legs and ideas, only Rafa has treated him with such disdain and hampered his progression Babel is only interested in his next move. Someone said all their bad luck is coming at once, evening out for the last 10 years of unreal good luck, i reckon they could be right, but their luck could easily change, string a couple of wins together through the other teams being poor and they morale will lift and their main lucky charm Gerrard could come fighting back. They are only 5pts off 4th and the media are treating it like they've been relegated, ok the momentum is with others, but Liverpool do have the experience of their manager, their players and fans, and that could be vital in the final push. They need to make some moves in the transfer market, I hear they've brought in Maxi Rodriguez who by all accounts is a good player last time i checked, it could be the spark they need. Liverpool aren't done yet, the end is when they sell Gerrard and Torres, if they do that it will be a long time before they are genuine title contenders and will struggle to be the cup team they are. I know he took a lot of stick last year for rotation, but you can see now that Gerrard and Torres have been overplayed. Along with Masch they are the only world class players in the side. What for instance is Babel's best position, not sure Rafa is really sure...Scores too many to play on the wing, yet isn't really a striker either. Lucas and Masch can't start together as they are too similar and lack creativity. They really need another striker, Ngog isn't even as good as the young Spanish lad at Man U who can't get games. You mean Macheda? (Italian BTW ) Babel has bag of pace and tricks, but positionally he's in no man's land, but i'd play him upfront when Torres was out, not as clinical (but who is) but can still run at defenders stretching them out of position like Torres does so well. Unfortunately for them Rafa has destroyed not only Babel's confidence but his desire to play for the club. He's someone who'll flourish at another club, Liverpool was probably too soon for him. Get your point about rotation, do it and get criticised for dropped points, don't do it and get Torres & Gerrard injured and show you are a one dimensional team; obviously Rafa knew this some time ago and wanted to protect his two biggest assets.
